Overbrook Pub & Grille — Restaurant in Dallas Township

Been going to Overbook for awhile now and after moving we decided to make the trip back for their burgers. Our server was unenthusiastic, didn't greet us, and overall seemed annoyed we were dining in that evening. We waited awhile for our drinks and decided to order an appetizer. The appetizer came with items we requested it come without (tomatoes and onions) and the chicken inside was chewy. Our server came back with drinks and simply asked if she could remove the plate. Didn't even ask if there was anything wrong with our food when clearly nobody had eaten majority of it and the mound of tomatoes and onions on the side. We waited about 25 minutes for refills of our soda and blue moons (we never got the blue moon refills). After our disappointing appetizer we then waited another 45 minutes for our burgers, which we requested crispy bacon for one. When the burgers came, our one family member received meat and cheese with no other toppings. The bacon was so undercooked and limp that it was a waste of the additional charge. The fries were overdone and the burger buns were soaked in grease and fell apart after the first bite. Another of our party received a whole raw onion slice on their burger and we had to share the lettuce that came with only one of the other burgers. Our waitress didn't ask if everything came out okay and was too busy standing at the end of the bar talking with her other co-workers. The table next to us, however, was being catered to and every 5 minutes or so a different server or kitchen staff member came out to see if their food was up to par with their expectations. They apparently have the capability but it is unfortunate that this is place is now a hit or complete miss. I hosted a bridal shower for my sister at the Overbrook on 8/20 out on the covered patio and will absolutely be recommending this venue to everyone.

I’ll preface my review by saying I’ve hosted several events over the past year and this one was by far my favorite, not to mention, the least stressful. Communication was seamless and responses were prompt. Christy was my point of contact and made sure everything flowed smoothly the day of the event.

The venue was beautiful with the exposed rock wall and wooden structure. Everything from the tables (no tablecloths required) & chairs to the “marbled plates” lended to the aesthetic of the space. The patio is open to the outside and I couldn’t be more thankful that we had a gorgeous day to celebrate!

The food was phenomenal. My compliments to the chef! I opted for the buffet brunch menu with a small adjustment. Every guest I spoke with said the food was delicious and several people commented that it was the best they’ve ever had at an event. The selection of pastries, bagels, bread and spreads was outstanding. The eggs, bacon, sausage and french toast were cooked to perfection. I added the mimosa bar for the additional cost which was well worth the time and preparation saved. I highly recommend one of their beverage add-ons.

Christy and her staff throughout the event were a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond to make this day as special as it was and I could not be happier that I chose Overbrook Pub & Grille!...

Have been going here for years & don’t think we will be returning. Tonight, we sat on the patio. We had 5 adults & 3 children. It took over 20 min for a server to greet our table & ended up being approximately 45 min until the server returned to get our food order. Additionally, my mom ordered a chocolate martini, which was terrible. It was not even close to a chocolate martini (approx. 5 years of bartending experience). When it was brought to the servers attention, she ignored the complaint, & then finally, when my mom brought it up again (after it sitting for over an hour), she said she would speak to management. After, she returned, she said she took 50% off due to half of it being gone. Half of it was not gone…it was served in a plastic cup, which made it appear that it was half gone. It was clear the server had no experience. That said, given we arrived at 5:30 PM, by 7:15 PM, & half of the table still not having their food, the kids were miserable & we had to ask for the rest of the food to go. It seemed as though the server forgot to order the rest of the food as it took another 20 min. Additionally, they were serving beer in water cups, which were smaller than the beer cups.
