A & A Pizza — Restaurant in Dallas

Found this place on Google by searching for “Lasagna near me” and when I got there I wasn’t sure what to think just from the outside of the location. It was so tiny and didn’t look like much. The food was so good though. While this place lacks the usual pretentiousness of other Italian restaurants, the food is up there with the best. I’ve had Italian food in multiple states and overseas and this could hold its own in my ranking. The lasagna really was top notch and the garlic bread was great too. I wanted to give it a 1 1/2 but that option isn't available. Fyi my scale has changed since I've gotten to experience Chicago and its pizza selection. The crust was nice and crispy, a bit overcooked. The cheese is of decent quality and they were generous with it. And from there it goes downhill. Not tasty at all. The sauce and the toppings were visible but I could not taste them. Absolutely no flavor. Overall it was borderline great cheese bread. The lady that assisted me was very friendly and she also provided plates and napkins. It was ready by the time stated as well. Although the wait was estimated at 15 minutes the pizza was lukewarm at best. I think it may have been ready before 15 minutes, I personally would have liked if they underestimated the wait time so that the pizza was hot when we received it. Nevertheless when we opened the box the first thing i thought about was chuck e cheese pizza. Now this wasnt a bad thing, i enjoyed 2 slices of the pizza, one with crushed red pepper and one without, the pepper really added a vibrant taste to the pizza.
