Oct1 Sunday I went to pickup a order of spaghetti w no salad or sip instead I ask for xtra sauce on the side. I walked in and there was no one there taking orders. A waitress Jennifer walked up and said can you wait a minute, she walked away to a table came back and did something on her register twice, and she turned w a rude look on her face and said yes. I told her I had a Togo order, she walked off, I waited for her to come back to take my order she was waiting on tables, this order was for 2 elderly woman who cannot go out of their homes anymore so I go pick up there food for them. This waitress Jennifer I check my order before leaving and I ask how much she said rudely it there I told I have not paid you she was so wanting me out of their she almost forgot to charge me, until I told her and she was rude about it too. The elderly woman said they usually give her 4 rolls she only gave 2 woman said she pays no more than 12.00 she charge her 14.00 I called Jennifer and ask to speak w the manager she said he was not there's d she told me over the phone that her the prices went up. She never once apolized, instead she said can I ask you a question she did not want to hear me, I thought she pulled the phone from her ear, she said she was busy when I came in and was. Busy at the moment, and she had never had not ever had a complain on her service, but she Never apologized to me she continued to say she was right she had no manners, and I hope her managers read this complain. Bc they need to teach her not to talk. Back to her paying customers and when she gave me my ticket to sign she walked away, no thank you or smile or anything...
Read moreI expected to be taking my wife to a nice Italian restaurant but what we found was the waitresses wearing blue jeans and tennis shoes. The tables had what looked like old faded wax on them which made them look unclean. Everything would have been fine if it was a country restaurant theme restaurant, but we didn’t want country. All they lacked was throwing sawdust on the floor and played country music. My wife’s bread was dowy in the middle obviously not baked enough, and her food was actually cold in the middle. I’ve been there maybe twenty times in the past and it was always a pleasant experience. It was were I always ordered a bottle of wine with our meals. I felt so a shame bringing my new wife there. I feel really bad about having to write this review about a place that I truly loved, but for some reason I guess the owner felt it needed a change. Please bring back the Italian to the restaurant, the pride that you once had in your appearance and food. The pie was the only thing I enjoyed but the the disgust of looking around and seeing that the Italian was no lo longer there. I don’t expect to return or recommend the the restaurant that I loved so very much to anyone anymore. I’m guessing it’s either changed ownership or a family member has taken over the establishment. When I moved back to Dallas I expected to return to my normal routine of going through three times a week with my friends and family. Please redo the table tops and lose the blue jeans and make the tennis shoes dark in color if they must be worn. Thank you for reading my review, if it’s read and God bless

Read moreLong winded but please read! We live about two miles from this place, and have frequented numerous times. On this Mother’s Day eve we went with my 14 mo old daughter at 5:5Opm like we have so many times. We call ahead to rsvp for two and a child and were told, “no need, we have room, no problem”. Upon arriving 15mins later the hostess sat us in the only booth/table available. Before we could sit, the owner came over and said a child cannot sit there with a high chair. Important fact, this was the EXACT same booth we’ve sat in at least twice with my daughter. My take on the situation is the disgruntled, extremely rude owner didn’t want our daughter in the front of his place while he had a full restaurant..as if it’s some extravagant dinning experience lol. He gave no excuse other than ‘we won’t put a high chair there’. We explained we had sat there before, but we’re shunned and told we had to wait for another open table. Again, this is after trying to make reservations. We asked the owner if he had children to which he replied no. This is no surprised if you saw the man. It must be he has no compassion for local neighborhood parents and children. I know this is an area staple, but we will NEVER go back and if your family has dignity you wouldn’t either. As for the food, it is really only mediocre at best. It just happens to be convenient (Cremona in uptown is MUCH better!) Next time I want Italian I will gladly drive an extra few mins for authentic quality food and friendliness, that you will not find at Alfonso’s! Maybe it just needs...
