It’s really sad and embarrassing that this hood staple has turned out this way. They never have fish! My family has tried to patronize this business on a Friday and a Saturday the busiest days and by 6:30pm they have hourly employees going to the local grocery store to buy fish. The individuals who work there are poor excuses for employees. They are rude and don’t care that the business is deteriorating! I know this is not the business that Mr. Floyd envisioned when he opened this establishment. This business has been around since I was a kid and to see this is what it has come to is really pitiful. It’s at least 3 other catfish places within a 3mile radius and the fact that Catfish Floyd’s is now only known for it’s tarter sauce is ridiculous. It didn’t use to be that way. If this is how you treat you customers you might as well as close the doors and bottle the sauce and sell it in the stores. Because the store front is a true joke! The lady told us it would be a 30min twice and after waiting over a hour she’s says the lady still isn’t back from the store with the fish and they have absolutely NOTHING to sell us! No nuggets, no fillets, no perch, nothing. Then she proceeds to tell me that when she does return they will only have fillets! Read moreI hate to write this complaint, because I am a customer for some years now. But today I caught CF slippin. And I mean slipping really bad. The past few times I was not totally pleased with CF's quality of food preparation. I just noticed that the fish was cooked crispy and hard. But it wasn't bad and I gave them a pass. But not today. I ordered a fish basket and when I tell you I've NEVER had to throw away an order from no restaraunt, I mean Never, until now. I threw away that fish basket I ordered. It came with ocean fish perch and fried okra. The fish was overcooked as if it was put back into the grease to cook a second time because there was nothing but dried crispy fish. It was dried out and all I could see and taste was the overcooked batter around the fish. No fish at all. The fried okra was just as bad. I was so disappointed because I usually get good fish but lately it hasn't been good and this will be my last time buying any fish from CF. I wanted to take it back but after I get home from about a 15 minute drive, I don't want to go back.. so here I am letting my frustration out because I wasted my money. Read moreI did not appreciate the rude customer service at all. First of all, I didn't want the fish, I stopped for my husband. I wasn't aware that it was drive through only because I didn't see the sign, and there were cars parked outside the building. When I approached the door, some man who was headed for the door told me that I couldn't come in, so I waited for a bit until he went inside, thinking that maybe it was a social distancing line. When I opened the door, he aggressively told me again that I couldn't come in. I asked "So is it drive through only?" he said with an attitude and disgusted look "There's the drive through." I didn't appreciate being spoken to in that manner. After the fact, I did see the signs that said drive through only amongst many other signs. It would have been just as simple for him to say, "drive through only" as it was to say "you can't come in here" and beat me to the door. I can't look at you and tell if you're a customer, employee or owner. My guess is this was a child or grandchild of the owner, who is working on losing customers for his family.
