revised my review because the owner apologized. I recommend this place, see edit at the end
I'd give it a five star, I'm generally forgiving for the most part, but service was not great. I liked the food, the inside is small, but a nice casual place to eat. Came with my son, but the workers are rude. I get the New York vibe, but there is a difference between being a new Yorker and jerk.
Felt like I wasn't worth the time of the employees, them forgetting the customers are the reason why they can stand behind the counter with bad attitudes.
I could always spend my money at Cane Rosso ( or at a place that treats their customers with respect like Brothers pizza.
I may give this another chance, the owner seems decent, but if I were him I'd crack down on my employees a bit and teach them lessons on being somewhat decent in interactions.
I can make better stuff at home, so really it comes down to the experience and convenience, both of which they really dropped the bar on.
The pizza was fine. That's why they get a 4.
They get a 2 for customer service. Being charitable to the owner and leaving it at a 4.
Edit owner apologized, I know ratings can hurt a business (I've worked in various pizza restaurants for over a decade) and so because of the owners character, in good faith I'm switching to a five star while keeping the review. Will be back, because the food is good and the owner seems to be...
Read moreThe one star is for the food, the rest is for the environment, service and moral of the restaurant. It was my first time going there and I was excited to try something new. I asked about the Stromboli and they pointed to it as if I was supposed to know exactly what was inside (every place is different) and it doesn’t say on the menu either. I ended up ordering the Chicken Mimi’s and my friend ordered the Chicken Murphy. I paid $27.06 for them and tipped $5 even when I ordered it myself at the line and there is no service. There was someone also boxing pizza boxes right behind me as I was trying to order and so my space was tight while I was trying to see the menu above my head. When the food came out they brought us the bread and th entrees. When we went to ask about the side of spaghetti that is supposed to go with EACH entree, they said it is only for the chicken parmigiana. Even though it says on the menu that each entree comes with bread AND a side of spaghetti. After that, I wanted to leave, asked for to go boxes and left and to no concern of theirs did they try to fix it or give any kind of pleasant, “have a good day” or anything. The part that sucks is that the food was actually really good but I will never return because of the environment and their inability to fulfill my order correctly. I work hard for my money just like them so I expect to get what I paid...
Read moreEdit: They changed the delivery range to exclude my house now. Have to find a new place now. Sad...
My favorite restaurant!! I don't know where to start! I usually get the half spaghetti bc I don't eat much and full order is too large for me. Also, most other restaurants don't offer mushrooms and are terribly expensive. Mimi's pasta & other options are affordable and really good portions for the price - great value. Also I love the caesar & Greek salads. The pepperoni pinwheel is delicious, though ill mention maybe 2% of my orders had a very cooked and crispy pinwheel, almost burned (though I still ate it lol).
I can't really complain about mimi's. It's always a pleasant experience when I stop by and recently I was thrilled to see that delivery is an option for me also! Plus there was no large fee. My order was perfectly packed and very hot when I received it. Maybe I get rid of doordash & delivery apps and only order from mimi's in the future 😜
Love...
