Piece of Heaven — Restaurant in Dallas

I actually feel for those who live near Piece of Heaven because the will power that they must have to exert not to go grab a delicious treat every day must be immense! I stopped by here on a whim after a field trip in the area with my kids, and it was the perfect topper to our great day. There is something for everyone here: ice cream, shakes, bubble tea/boba, coffee with a massive flavoring selection (including several sugar free options), cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, gooey bars, cinnamon rolls, gluten free and keto options, and likely more of which I'm not yet aware. The inside is spacious, with sturdy tables of different types to suit any kind of customer. There are chess/checkers tables too! There is an area toward the back of the store that I would've loved as a college student, with a cozy reading/study area. The young woman who helped me and my kids was so patient and kind, and because the prices were so doable, I was able to tip more than I usually would. Where I'm from in CA, I would've paid at least $40 for my order, and the clerk would've been snooty; instead, I paid $28, I believe, and recieved welcoming service. We are 45 minutes from here, but we will definitely be stopping in any time we're out in Dallas. We tried and absolutely loved the superman ice cream, coconut roll cake, pineapple gooey bar (this was amazing), New York Cheesecake, blueberry almond cheesecake, and drip coffee with cake batter flavor. I can't wait...

Before even entering you pass their comfy outdoor seating decorated with soft string lighting. I was impressed the moment I walked inside because it gave me such a friendly welcoming hometown feeling. I was immediately greeted with a smile by a team member. The display case of bake goods was mouth-watering! Delicious looking one of kind creative cakes, out of the ordinary flavored cheesecakes , banana pudding, scones and old school (like your grandma baked) mini cake loaves/cookies in a variety of flavors. Also, many gluten free delectable looking desserts were available. Piece of Heaven surprisingly is not just a bakery! In the sandwich realm, I can personally attest that their stellar Chicken Salad on a Croissant was yummy. They also had a vast selection of old fashion scooped ice cream to choose from. They even had these special hand dipped flavored waffle cones! Also, their beverage offerings were on point!  Choices of a variety of coffee/tea types, blended fruit juices and more are available choices to satisfy any palette. They even had an actual "Reading Room" where books for all ages can be enjoyed. It would suffice to say that my first visit to Piece of Heaven was a delightful experience. Needless to say they've made me a repeat customer who will happily refer others to this local...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, ENERGY AND MONEY AND GO TO THIS ICE CREAM STORE!

It was a Friday night and I pulled up in front of.Piece of Heaven, craving some ice cream from an ice cream store. I left my headlights on while I gathered my things and when I got out of my car and went to the door it was LOCKED!

The time was 8:03 p.m. and apparently they close at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and close at 7:00 p.m. during the week. A few moments later, the gal who worked there came out the front door and handed a milkshake to a customer who just approached the front door.

I asked, "Did you not SEE my HEADLIGHTS SHINING in the door when you came to LOCK it?" "

"YES," The young lady said.

My reply? " "It REALLY would have been NICE of you to WAVE your hand at me or even come over to my CAR and say "I'm closing.. Was there something you wanted to order?"

THEY WILL NEVER, EVER...
