Recipe Oak Cliff — Restaurant in Dallas

Excellent menu selection and bombast tacos ( I had the romaine boats 2 walnut meat and 2 jackfruit) yesterday. It came with sides. I got green banana salad and mangos. Let me tell you: my carnivore husband tastes them as well and loved them as much as I did. He’s skeptical about vegan food places but he gave this one two thumbs up. Not only were the tacos fab, but that banana salad was a-maxing! It was similar to a potato salad. So.freaking.good. She’s using RIPE fruit, which no one else does these days. The mango was phenomenal ♥️ I don’t remember the owner’s name, but she is the one who helped me at the counter. She is sweet and loves people and what she does. It would be okay with me if they relocated closer to DALLAS/Plano area, as it would be much easier for me to get to more often. The neighborhood was culturally and ethnically different than what I’m used to and I’ve recently experienced some discrimination in these situations, so was slightly apprehensive to open the door, but when I walked in the place, all of that disappeared because her smile disarms everyone’s insecurities. The spot could be a little bit more organized as far as the top counter where fresh juices are made. Shouldn’t be able to see the back where stuff was everywhere. The wait for food was between 25-30 minutes which I don’t mind waiting for fresh food. Menu was very limited with some items not being available at all. The customer service could use an upgrade. This was my 2nd time coming to the restaurant. First time it was superb! This time not so much. Order was not given correctly I asked to omit the cashew cream and cashier noted it on the order receipt. However when the order was received it was drenched in cashew cream after waiting close to an hour for our order. To wait that long and receive an incorrect order is unacceptable. Simply poor communication amongst staff. The juice had too much pulp in it for my liking but it was still tasty. In the end, I will still continue to support this business because it’s ours and serving healthy alternatives to our people in the hood. I’m down with that. Hopefully this review will give the owner some pointers...

First off the owner was so very nice and accommodating, this isn't really a dine in spot, just really take out, however she pulled a table from the back for me and my husband. We ordered the veggie burger with plantain fries, bbq jackfruit taco, another taco and a zoodle dish. The burger and fries was so good my husband was trying to order another..... this bbq taco was absolutely delicious the other taco was good, but im not a fan of nuts so I let my husband eat the majority of that one..... we planned on taking the noodles home for later, but when we got in the car he said let me just get a taste ......... now we don't have anything for later...lol but we are so happy we found this spot even though it's 30min from home we will definitely be returning!!! Oh I almost for got the fresh juices she has, the watermelon juice is life and the electric mango we bomb as well they definitely brought life to my insides!!!
