Taqueria El Paisano — Restaurant in Dallas

ONLY CASH But they will charge you taxes🤔. They have a “convenient” ATM in the lobby that is owned by them, the taqueria itself and charges $3.50 plus whatever your bank might charge you for using other ATMS. Very sketchy.

For years this was the place to go to after the club. We visited after a long time and it was a huge disappointment!

They don’t hand out menus anymore as they have 5 items on the menu: Horchata was watered down BIG TIME! And it tasted it like tap water. All of our food and drinks were absolutely disgusting.

There were cleaning supplies and chemicals near food preparation area. Ladies restroom was well stocked but very neglected and my husband almost slipped because there was a water leak in the men’s restroom.

Grand total was $63.31 for 4 people. Waitress was waiting on me by the ATM for the payment but she never gave the receipt to me. I left her $12.00 for tips but it wasn’t deserved because she committed fraud. I kept thinking how she was sort of folding the receipt when showing me the amount and ultimately didn’t give me the receipt, like I mentioned. Then I did the math! Our order could not have been more $52.00 dollars. Then I saw a picture on Google where salsa is $10.00!!! She never asked. She automatically brought it to the table and most restaurants offer it complimentary. The salsa was the only good thing we had actually, but no salsa, specially in that little amount is worth $10.00! Plastic molcajete was half way. I’ve tried calling numerous times and no one ever answers. Because they know the POS business they’re running.

NOW, ALL OF THE ABOVE DETAILS SOUND BAD BUT HERE IS TRULY THE AWFUL PART: 3 OUT OF 3 PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CONSUMED THEIR FOOD (I TRIED BUT LUCKILY I COULDN’T EAT), BECAME REALLY ILL FOR 4-5 DAYS. THEY ALL LIVE IN DIFFERENT HOUSEHOLDS SO IT WASN’T NOTHING THEY ATE PRIOR. CITY OF DALLAS HEALTH DEPARTMENT REALLY NEEDS TO INSPECT THIS...

Wow, how the mighty have fallen.

Admittingly it's been years since I have been here. To be honest, I wish I would have never came back. There was definitely an ownership change, and not for the good. I use to not be able to wait to get to Dallas to come here. Now I have no desire to come back at all.

The food is not the same as it was, IT'S CLOSE, but not the same and the difference is enough to take the food from great to only good.

The prices well were higher, which I can understand. However, this place was known for coming in, ordering 15 tacos and a drink, and getting great food and leaving with money in your pocket.... Now it's trying to be like every other restaurant that wants to be bigger than that it is, and extremely overpriced for what is is. The menu is now more focused on plates, combos, and things that Pasiano is NOT KNOWN FOR.

Last the the decor..... I'm not saying it's bad, it's done.... well, but from the everything being pink, to the extremely loud music playing, to the leaking AC I just wasn't feeling it and the clientele in the restaurant just looked out of place.

If you want the old Pasiano, its gone.... If you want a okay experience, with good enough food, blah service, packaged in pink decor that is GREATLY OVERPRICED.... Make like you're on the Price Is Right and come on down.... If you want a GREAT experience..... Find...

Okay, I ate at this establishment several months ago and my daughter and I were hooked. So today we bring my son because we boasted about how good it was, we’ll 10 min into eating our food a baby roach crawled across the table. We killed it and showed one of our waitress the napkin , she looked in harassed and she took it and of we took a pic of it . So no one came to extend apology or offer to deduct part of our bill. So I was unable to even finish my food at that moment . So I got a to go container and my son left his food my daughter was okay with hers. So now we go to settle the bill and ask the cashier doesn't speak English, so she get help someone woman who came in a few minutes earlier claiming to be the owner who became hostile right off the bat w/o even getting the scenario at hand. So I explained she got loud and went and got her friend/ back up whoever. So I got loud also , she saying there is no roach in the food and it’s clean here and you ate the food . I said we never said it was in the food , it crawled across the table and out of courtesy deduct something like take our sodas off the bill but she continued her rant in Spanish which I don’t speak. I was really disappointed in her behavior as a so call owner. But she did finally take the sodas off which was $5..... Our bill was...
