I wanted to experience the Bonton Farm for a long time. I finally found the time to visit for lunch in May. It is a lovely dining spot with southern down home dining. You can eat inside or on their outside patio that oversees the garden that they are well-known for in the southern area. We chose to sit outside. The patio is covered and we'll ventilated even for a May afternoon. It was over 90 outside and I couldn't tell! ...and I hate the heat!

We order the fries, fried green tomatoes, biscuit flight, chicken wing plate and catfish plate. The service was a bit slow, however, they had a fairly large tour group having lunch that day. Overall, the food was "good", but not well seasoned for my liking. Now, if you like a good clean, "let the food speak for itself" flavors, it is worth the trip. I still love going here, because it is a great place to visit.

We missed the goats, but got to see the garden a bit. We also missed the coffee shop and the marketplace because everything closes at 3pm.

I would say, if you want a fun, relaxed morning or early afternoon experience, this is definitely a go-to! It was an overall...

Randomly stumbled upon this place and was completely amazed by the wonderful food.

Showed up to the city water department during their lunch hours, which forced me to find the closest restaurant in the interim. Found this cafe only three minutes away, and boy was I glad I stopped in. While walking up to the cafe, I was greeted outside by an employee. Walking in to the cafe, you notice how open and light filled everything is. I chose to sit outside on the patio since it was 72 degrees outside. They had big powerful fans to cool everything down for hotter Texas days. Loved that they grow their own produce on site on their own farm right behind the outdoor seating.

I got the wagyu cheeseburger, cooked medium, with a side of chicken fried okra. Hands down the best okra I've ever had. Lightly fried to perfection! Burger was fresh and tasty. Had the swamp water tea which was really refreshing. Must get again next time I'm here. Super friendly employees and great waitstaff.

I highly, highly...

Amazing amazing place. Will always recommend since this farm is run by amazing people who made this place with the intent of helping others and wanting to spread their love of farming and plants! I love how they let you check our the crops and even offer to set up a home veggie garden space for you at a lower cost than typical! The salads are always fresh and amazing. I only wish there were more locations like this where they have the garden right by the restaurant haha. I love that they donate so much crops and prioritize helping the environment. You are a bit too far for me to become a regular but if i could i would go at least twice a month! Have inly visited twice since I just had to bring my mom and im so glad i did since she enjoyed the...

Man this place is COOL! There is an actual farm here where they serve the food they grow in the cafe! Talk about fresh! The service was awesome with everyone being friendly and answering my dumb questions lol they invited me to check out the farm in the back while they prepared my breakfast sandwich. DEFINITELY a hidden gem that needs to be checked out! The inside seating was open bright, open and comfortable, the outside seating had a very inviting farm feel to it with fireplaces and beautiful outside scenery. I came Saturday morning and again I cannot stress how nice the whole staff was! And the food was delicious, I’m going to definitely come back and flaring some family and friends!!
