Kaptein's Corner Deli — Restaurant in Danbury

I am an NYC kid, born and raised in the Bronx, that since moving out to Danbury 8 years ago, have been craving and searching for a legit NY style deli. Hard to describe what I was missing (and not all NYC delis have this charm): there is something about the atmosphere ,the family run nature of it, the care placed into crafting sandwiches as more than throwing cold cuts on bread and serving them as fast as possible. Something about the client, how you're treated and feel when you walk into the place. Kapteins nails it and then some, and i regret it has taken me 3 years to discover this gem literally down the street from me. I live in Danbury but work in Hartford, so I'm typically not around the area for lunch during the weekdays. I've been working remotely since March due to Covid but have only recently starting venturing out to grab takeout from a few local places. I would not try this deli in fear it was like all the other Spanish Delis in the area. I recently started working around the corner and after rave reviews I tried it one day and have not stopped!! Great food! The owner is super cool and the girl in the front is so patient and nice. Everything I have tried has been out of this world!! We even had them cater an event for work and everything was above and beyond our expectations.
