I dnt kno why its taken me so long to do a write up for Mickey A's but consistently busting out one of the better pies in the area its a bit overdue.... The pies slingin out of this establishment are reminiscent of ny style rounds. Theres good balance in sauce to cheese to crust ratios and all in all the flavors are pretty spot on. These pies run on the saltier side making me long for a lil sweetness in the sauce to offset everything that just isn't there. The cheese and dough are both good quality as theres a solid grease layer and decent bite to the crust. Like a lot of pies in the area its best enjoyed fresh out the oven at the location or in your car as the crust is still nice n crispy, everything works best before it sits a bit. By the time ya bring a pie home the bottom has sogged up a touch. Outside of that this place has been doing their thing for a min and they have earned a loyal fan base for it. Not a bad slice by any means.

Well...... we've eaten here twice in 24 hours. LOL!!! When we come near Danbury, my husband is looking for great pizza, and Michael Angelo's has it. I had a salad both times with the pizza, and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. We dined in even though there's only tables to sit. It's very popular for take out. The staff were friendly and very attentive. If we were local, we would be regulars. There's more parking around the corner. Don't let that turn you away like it did us on a prior trip. We called ahead to see if there was a place to sit, and she reserved the booth for us.

Family owned, takeout although they accommodate us (passing through the area) a place you know they legitimately care about their products. Gluten-free pizza..better then the mouth drying cracker like stuff most use. The regular pizza looked very nice. Thinner crispy then the regular fare at other places. Definitely going to keep Michael Angelo's in sites when passing through! Loving ❤️ Oh!!! SAUCE IS AMAZING

Ordered a pizza for pickup, and of course I didn’t check the product before leaving. As a result, the pizza was raw, as if they are skimping the amount of dough and still charging customers a premium. You try to pick up a slice and resulted in all of the cheese to fall off. The pizza was flimsy, soggy and lack of cheese and overall I wouldn’t even feed that to my dog. Then I call the store to voice my disappointment, asking for the owner. His words in a angry, disgruntled annoyed tone was “which owner”. As if that matters, to make things worse I voice all of the issues wrong with a simple pizza. After a min, he said I could make another pizza… Keep in mind I live 20 mins away and during rush hour. I the customer had to reiterate multiple times that I simple wanted a refund. Based of the owners attitude, who knows what would have happened. His response “if you want a refund, I must have the pizza returned”. So keep in mind 20 mins each way for a total of 4 times. Didn’t even take the customers word or offer sufficient customer satisfaction. When returning the pizza, he looked at me like I was crosseyed. I simply told him to try to even lift the slice and to begin with the cheese wasn’t even cooked thoroughly. After this, he took the pizza into the back ( where I am sure he blatantly threw it away ) and didn’t say a word to me. Simply saying how did I pay… as if he didn’t remember me from 30 mins prior. The owner is the rude individual I have ever met and after my experience here I can’t and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone simply off the customer service alone. You will never be going back and would rather support small business who actually care about customer satisfaction. Not making their mistake result in more work and aggravations for...

A breath of fresh air! I frequented this restaurant as a child and still remember getting glass coke bottles and eating a slice of pizza with my mom. I thought I would pop in and see if it bared the same resemblance or if it was all different. To my surprise it was the same lovely place I had visited 20 years ago as a kid when I would walk up Lake ave after school. They said they just hit 30 years and it's the same owners. So many places in CT treat you like you're a burden when you walk in. I walked in not knowing if we would have lunch there because it's a smaller restaurant and I have two kids. I expected to get some sort of attitude or confused look from the staff but right away I was greeted and the woman up front was eager to help me. I explained my situation and she right away asked her family who were having a meeting at the table if they could move to the back so that my family could come have dinner. She set up two tables for us and the whole staff was friendly and patient with my wild boys. My boys began fighting over an apple juice and one gentleman was kind enough to give me another on the house. The gentleman making the pizza was kind and courteous. You really don't find places like this anymore.. everyone is in a rush, they just want to get paid and get you out, but not this place. It's a traditional family style restaurant. I left feeling so happy with finally not feeling like it was an inconvenience to serve me as I often find now'er days when we're out spending money. They were happy to have us and if we are in the area again we will go back! Thank you...
