Great bar and music venue! Always good energy and quality live music playing here. One of the remarkable things is that I've never met a 'not nice' person here. Everyone is always so cool and chill...vibing with the music, happy and smiling, some dancing, and no attitudes! Some other notable things are the sound...quality sound engineering makes this place super enjoyable on the ears...can still have a convo most of the time and sound mixing makes the bands sound even better than they already are. The owners have made considerable investment in the sound here so if you appreciate that, this is a great place to be. Also notable is the cool/intimate atmosphere. Low ceilings, sunken floor stage, cool music motif/memorabilia/pics, pool table, outside stage and patio area for easily stepping out for a breather or in the summer fun outside music atmosphere. Sugar Hollow Taproom books some really great bands...acoustics/sound at this venue are really good--music sounds great right in front of the band or sitting far back at the bar. Employees are all very kind, but sometimes seem overwhelmed(the place has had some packed nights lately). It might take a several minutes to get a drink from time to time. Easy access to pop out for a smoke if that's your thing... Oh, and there's a taco truck thats always there that has delicious food. AND you can order right at the bar... quesadillas, chips and salsa, tacos... all fresh and high quality. P.S. Good Luck Blues Band was mind-blowingly good. All members are of exemplary musicianship and really put their heart, soul and pain into it. Best band I have seen in years. No joke. I'm hoping they get booked here again... amazing...

Hard to find, entrance is located in the back parking lot. Bartender is friendly and welcoming, had an interesting fruity beer - that was delish. Decent live music, however there was a cover charge added to the tab $5. for the band. No dance floor- I went to dance, smh. Chairs/stools are extremely uncomfortable; metal, small tush like for kids, no backs on some, I was fidgeting the entire time. They need to invest in adult seating and down lighting at the bar, very dark, feels cavernous, curtained side rooms a little depressing, contributing negatively to the whole vibe. Go with others, the bar is not crowded, could be because of Covid.(December 2021) I went alone, this is not really a place where yr going to chat it up with others at the bar n make...
