I HAD TO CALL TO THE POLICE ON THIS PLACE! I have never had such experience in my life. This is actually the second time I come here and get treated very poorly. The first time I went with my entire family for Mother’s Day. My mom who is very elderly required for her meat to be cooked more thoroughly. The server was unhappy about my mom’s request and completely changed her energy towards my family. This caused my family to be very uncomfortable. So to make things better. I went and personaly asked the manager if we could have a change of server because it was very hostile and uncomfortable being serviced by our current one. The manager made the change possible but gave us horrible looks for it. Again the manager herself is very unprofessional and intolerable. This time, I decided to give it a second chance. I went in there with open arms and a forgiving heart. I was there with my 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER!! I got serviced by the same exact server who gave us a problem when we came with our family for mother’s day. But I thought, to give her a fresh start and treated her with complete kindness and put the past behind us. So I thought. I asked for chili flakes for my pasta and the server never came back with it. 15 minutes passes by and still no flakes!! I had to ask the front for the chili flakes as there were no servers in sight!! I also asked kindly if they would please reheat my pasta as it’s been sitting for quite some time as I waited for the flakes. No biggie. The front host asks the server, in front of me, if she can get the flakes I requested (as she comes back EMPTY HANDED) and heat up my food. She takes my food, doesn’t warm it up, walks around to another table, grabs the chili flakes, completly disregards my request of heating up my food and then slaps it on my table!!! I then requested for her to warm up my plate again and she argued that “it hasn’t even been that long.” She began to bicker with me back and forth in front of my 4 year old over not wanting to warm up my food! I called for the manager to resolve the issue and get this absurd server away from me. But the manager escalates this and makes things much worst! She backs up watever the server says and doesn’t take anything I say into consideration. Then the server proceeds to say things under her breath which turns into flat out yelling and insulting me!!! The manager then proceeds to do the same and also puts her hands on my daughter’s head!!! At this point I call the POLICE on these people. I asked them if it would be a crime if I were to simply get up and not pay anything at all at this restaurant for how my daughter & I are being treated. The Police informed me that, No, it would not be a crime. I was heading out the door I told the manager I called the Police & informed them of my treatment and will not be paying. She then proceeds to touch and get in front of me and my daughter at the door. I get out and 5 different women CHARGE after me! Calling me names, hazing and tailgating my car!! They also started recording us as if I was trying to run away when I told them exactly why I was not paying & that the Police themselves gave me the consent. It was truly Mortifying!!! The police got in Contact with me & told me I did the right thing by getting out of there before things escalated further and calling them & that I did not commit a crime! And that they would also be educating the establishment about the laws. Especially for how they treated me as a customer with her 4 year old!! That’s just the service, there’s always something wrong with the food as well!! Please save yourself the time and do not give this restaurant a visit ever!! They handled the situation at hand very poorly and were...

I live in the area, love Italian food, and had been looking forward to checking this place out. Bottom line up front - it was a below average experience and I doubt I’ll be back.

It is a very beautiful building. It’s super clean, has a great/friendly vibe and atmosphere. The service was ok. Servers were friendly, but slow. I think we waited a little over 10 minutes at our table before anyone said hello. But it was a Saturday night, they were busy, so I feel like slower service is understandable.

Our mixed drinks from the bar were fine. What I found odd was the drink menu did not have any prices for cocktails or beers. Just very odd to make people ask for the price if they want to know. Honestly - this really rubbed me the wrong way.

But my real issue, Unfortunately, was the food. It just was not good. There was a crab cake special app. But they were 100% frozen pre-made crab cakes that were just dropped in the oil and sent out to us like two fried hockey pucks. I felt like I was paying for something I could buy at the supermarket, pop in the microwave, and have it come out better. Just very disappointing.

This theme continued with our mains. My wife had the squash ravioli and I had the bolognese. The ravioli were fine. But again, definitely not made in house. They were the kind of ravioli you get at Trader Joe’s. You can tell because they were all identical in shape and the filling was so dense and compact. Tasted fine (perhaps the restaurant makes the sauce?), just expected it to be fresh. The bolognese was borderline not edible. It just tasted like water. Again, the pasta seems like it came from a box and there was just way too much. The Bolognese itself had no taste (I suspect due to all the water coming off the pasta). What’s crazy is when they cleared the table they had to see that I barely touched it. And you’d think when I said “no” to a to-go box they’d ask if it was alright. But no one ever asked how anything was.

So that’s $140 gone on a disappointing meal. Other reviewers have given high praise - so I hope that this was an off night. But I honestly can’t afford to drop money on bad meals. So I won’t be back. I hope others have better...

UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: I’ve been a loyal customer here for a long time, but after what I witnessed Friday night, I will never return. The owner was screaming at a hostess in front of a full bar — it was abusive, humiliating, and beyond unprofessional. I’ve had many interactions with this hostess and she has always been wonderful: friendly, polite, and great at her job. To see her berated like that was disgusting. No decent business should treat their employees this way, and no customer should be subjected to watching it happen. Shameful behavior.

Our visit to Magia was absolutely fantastic on NYE, and every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations. The hostess Jackie greeted us with a warm smile and seated us promptly, even with a bustling crowd. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations. The entertainment was a highlight of the evening! It added such a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere, perfectly complementing the delicious food and wonderful service. A special mention goes to the restaurant manager who I believe her name is Carla, whose leadership was evident in how seamlessly everything flowed. She was actively engaged with both the staff and guests, ensuring everyone had a great time. It’s clear this team works hard to create a memorable experience, and they succeeded on every level....

The place was very nice and cozy so no complaints on the atmosphere. The waitress was also very pleasant. I ordered the haddock special and it just had too much vinegar. It was so sour that I had to separate the mushrooms that were topped and eat separately. I finished eating the mashed potatoes and mushrooms but left the haddock. And since I couldn’t finish the dish, I asked for it to be boxed. The boxed food came back 15 minutes later. When I got home, it was someone else’s food in the box. It had mashed potatoes and some other kind of fish. I called the restaurant back but they were too busy to handle my situation. They said they will call back to resolve my issue but didn’t hear anything back. Oh well!! I hope I can get a refund on my food.

Was able to go for an early dinner and sat at the bar. Staff was super attentive to our questions and services was spot on. We started with drinks - Raspberry Cosmo and a Manhattan - people know me from our other reviews, making a good drink correctly and at good size is paramount with a great dining experience and the Magia staff has this down - made as we requested. For appetizer we had the Calamari which we done perfect, great dipping sauce and a good portion. Main dish was veal-salt-n-boca. It was done perfect and this is a good size dish, and the best part, this food came out hot, not warm hot. We will make it back here for sure.

Regular customers here. This place is incredible! We love Chris, and ask for him every time. One of the few restaurants I've been to where I'm determined to try everything on the menu. This time around I went with the fresh and crispy arrancini with the Bolognese dipping sauce, fried oysters (10/10 the radish garnish really takes this flavor profile over the edge), a pineapple + elder flour liquor cocktail, fig prosciutto neopolitan pizza, and cannolis to wrap it up.
