I actually searched for a Thai restaurant in the area, and drove out of my way to try this due to reviews. The place itself is in a strip mall and is slightly dated inside. The menu is large with a lot to choose from. We ordered Drunken Noodles, Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Tea. The tea was good. It reminded me of tea and chocolate milk together. The Rangoon wasn't bad. Not the best I've had, but good enough. I usually get 3 or 4 tiny piece of really good Rangoon other places, whereas this is 6 larger pieces of OK Rangoon. You pick. The fried rice was a little overdone. The egg was crispy and burned in places, but still tasted alright. The Drunken Noodles were by far the worst I've eaten. Out of dozens of high and medium grade Thai places I've visited in the US, this gets my award. The noodles were crispy at first...until I realized they were just all majorly overcooked and dark. I normally expect some sort of random vegetables mixed in, but there was really only 4 or 5 pea pods a shred or 2 of carrot and about half an onion. So, beef, onion, burned noodle. The seasoning was rather bland as well. It was a bit too sweet, and it tasted reminiscent of drunken noodles, but not quite there. I ate about half and all of the meat. That's all I could stomach. I've felt sick all day as a result. It's always a risk ordering from new place, but I just couldn't stomach any more of the noodles. I declined to make a big deal about it, as I was there with someone and didn't want to be rude.
Upon traveling out to new restaurants, I'm often in the search for a place that I HAVE to go back to, because I like something on the menu. This is a place, however, will...
Read moreOk so this place is good. The food is always satisfying and the portions are always generous. But goddamn does the service just lack EVERY TIME. The waitresses always have to be called over whether I need a refill on my drink, or need to order, ask for hot sauce, or get the bill... whatever it is, I'm always waving people down. I've also noticed (I don't know how this is possible but I swear to God it's true) that the waitress always eats her lunch or takes her break in the middle of her shift while serving us. It doesn't matter what waitress we get, when I'm ready for the bill or ready to order and look around, she will be right there at the back of the restaurant eating. I'm all about people getting their break but if you're going to go on break, how about telling another waitress to take watch of your table. Today I had to get up and go over to the sushi side to get chopsticks and a soy tray myself so I wouldn't disturb this girls lunch. Not only that, she took so long to come get the bill that I just walked it up to the register to pay myself as well. These things aren't deal breakers and I'm sure we will be back but just something to think about Thai San Chef. Let's get these waitresses under some kind of...
Read moreWife and I work 10 hrs today so no time and tired to cook. Decided to order for to go for dinner, unfortunately the chicken with vegetable smells spoiled and the chicken meat was mushy. Called the store a Chinese lady answered and was rude, told my wife go back to store so they could check it. My wife went back to their restaurant when we should be eating already. The Chinese lady was rude with no customer service, Chinese men came out and said it was not the meat it is the gravy which is spoiled. The lady was still rude and would like to imply that it is our fault that the food got spoiled😲. After the long argument they decided to change the food with no apology, no customer recovery…did not even give us extra fortune cookies for the trouble. Do not go here to eat and order food…spare your self from worst customer service and...
