Fiesta Acapulco — Restaurant in Dawson Springs

We had an early dinner because the restaurant is in a different time zone than hours. If busy, parking could be an issue since it is located in a small strip mall. The inside is decorative and clean. The employees were friendly and our server was efficient and polite.

However, my first surprise was that there were no pork dishes on the menu, making it the first Mexican restaurant I've ever visited that had none. I ordered pollo en mole. It was served with thin chicken strips, another first, and the mole sauce was a little thin. It wasn't the best I've tasted, but far from the worst. I’m from Elizabethtown Kentucky, Came down for Labor Day and when it started to get late me and the girls, my daughters started to get really hungry. This was the closest place and honestly I was a little worried because in the middle of nowhere and I didn’t know how great I’m Mexican restaurant would be in the middle of the woods! I LOVE eating here! My church family and I come here QUITE often after our Sunday services, and the food, atmosphere, and staff are always amazing! I highly recommend the quesadilla a la plancha! Think the chicken, cheese, and rice menu item you can typically get at Mexican restaurants, but the chicken is inside a large tortilla, the rice on the side, and the white queso on top. SO GOOD!
