Dollar General — Local services in Dawson Springs

The place is just a year old and it's trashy. The General Manager is always in a foul mood and always is posting things about her employees on Facebook. She is very unprofessional and has her employees working while she is either outside smoking and on her phone or inside on her phone. When corporate asks why things aren't done, she then blames her employees. She also discusses personal matters about her employees with all other employees and when something is brought to her attention or took to her boss, she then retaliates against that person. This store has had some great workers and other managers but she runs them off. This store is booming but only reason people in this community say they use it is because of it's convenience and it being so close to where they live, or the deals that they have. As a homeowner in this town, I just have to say it makes this...

The Dawson Springs ky Dollar general store is a poor store it needs to have new management I go in there several times a week and every time the manager is always setting in her car by the front door with either the music up loud or on her phone. Today on 7-18-17 @ 5:15 pm the lady working the register paged the manager several times to do a refund she finally had to go to the door and motion for the manager to come in to do 3 returns by this time there were probably 10 customers in line waiting to check out after the manager did the returns she went back to her car to get on her phone instead of helping to get the customers...

This store is number one in several areas. Number one in understaffed establishments. Number one in disorganization. Number one in being unprofessional. I usually feel very sorry for the lone cashier checking out a line of more than 10 customers. The machines are GROSSLY outdated and the whole building really just needs a makeover.
