My car(Red VW). I parked in this spot as it was the only open one, farthest from the door. I'm young and healthy so I like to leave the close spots for people who need them. I had to exit through my passenger door since the Owner of Joes Pizza, in her Lexus felt the need to double park in an already small parking lot. About 20 minutes after sitting down she stormed into the dining room demanding the owner of the VW to move their vehicle, as "Nobody is allowed to park that close to her car" She then proceeded to tell me my car was going to get towed and the police were on their way since I don't display tags on my vehicle. She then followed me out to the parking lot and had a full blown "Karen Temper Tantrum" behind my vehicle not allowing me to back out, despite telling me I hd to move my car and leave her property. When I asked why she paid to have the lines painted on the concrete if she, herself, wasnt going to abide by them. Although the pizza is great, its not worth supporting a selfish, childish, irrational, woman. Who believes she is better then everyone else in her 4 year old $15,000 Lexus. The way she reacted to the situation was embarrassing and unprofessional. I couldnt imagine being as self centered as the woman who owned that Lexus. Maybe having a temper tantrum in the parking lot of her own business will come back as some sort of hindsight embarrassment and she will stop treating the world as if it revolves around her.

Joes Pizza: Dayton’s number 1 pizza? Not so sure that’s the case despite its claim to the coveted title. You can tell the employees like to have fun and take pride in the place they work. However, any sense of optimism stops with the kitchen crew. I must admit, upon opening the pizza box I was happy to see the crispy pepperoni everyone seems to embellish. But, we don’t eat with our eyes. So, I eagerly dug in to my first bite. Unfortunately, the pepperoni was the only redeeming quality of this “bowling-ally” pizza. The cheese was a flavorless mass of glue stretched across soggy, shoe-leather disguised as pizza dough. I tried adding hot sauce or dipping the pizza in ranch to inject an iota of life into this utterly boring experience, but alas, my endeavors were fruitless. The god of “bland and bowling” reign over Joes with a heavy hand and the kitchen staff offer up holy sacraments with every order they take. My advice is to save your money and stop funding this zealous cult of culinary mediocrity.

Joe’s Pizzeria has that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” charm that’s hard to come by these days. Walking in, you’re hit with a serious old-school vibe—wood paneling on the walls, vintage decor, and a sense that not much has changed in decades (in a good way). Service was handled by an older lady who clearly knows the regulars and isn’t afraid to dish out a little sass with your order—honestly, she was one of the highlights of the visit. You can tell this place has history, and they’re proud of it. The food? Solid. Classic pizza joint quality. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel—it’s just doing what it’s always done. That’s part of the charm. If you’re into nostalgia, solid eats, and a no-frills atmosphere, Joe’s delivers. I will score the pizza a 🍕7.9🍕

I have ordered from Joe's pizza since 1981 and I have had may dairy allergy just about the same length of time. I ordered 2 pizza's 1 LG with double pepperoni with a really crispy crust (regular pizza) the second pizza I told the girl this person has a dairy allergy!! I explained the gloves would need to be changed or hands washed to prevent cross contamination plus the knife used to cut the pizza must be cleans. "She has a dairy allergy!!". The girl made me repeat the entire order as though she was not listening. I was not talking fast because to make sure she understood the importance of following my directions because of the dairy allergy. I explained cross contamination to her each time as well. She then asked me if I wanted what was their extra large. Ugh! She gave me the total I asked her to repeat my order and she did with no cheese. I explained again the glove/hands washing and knife cleaning. I get there pay for the pizza. The lady cutting the pizza verified she was using a clean knife. I felt safe that all information was transferred to all the necessary employees. The 1/2 of pizza was consumed. The person who ate it within 30-45 minutes began bei sick and vomited two times. There was CHEESE CONTAMINATION!! During the night they were awoken and had to race to the bathroom with diarrhoea. These pizzas have been ordered for over 30 years this way! What kind of people are they hiring or training to not follow simple directions to either change their gloves or just WASH THEIR HANDS? What else is on the hands if they can do a simple wash with soap before beginning to make a pizza or was it the girl on the phone who thought cleaning the knife would be good enough? This is sad if this is how Joe's employees are taking care of...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joe's Pizzeria, and let me tell you, it was a gastronomic experience to remember. Their pizza is nothing short of delicious; the perfect blend of cheesy goodness, zesty sauce, and a crispy pepperoni topping that adds just the right amount of crunch. The crispy pepperoni truly elevates the flavor, making every bite a delightful explosion of taste and texture.

However, my delightful dining experience was slightly marred by an unexpected policy. Joe's Pizzeria charges a fee for using a credit card, and this left a bitter taste in my mouth. Charging extra for credit card payments seems to be a growing trend among merchants, but it's not a customer-friendly approach. In an era where digital transactions are the norm, customers should not be penalized for choosing a convenient payment method.

This practice is not unique to Joe's Pizzeria; many businesses are adopting similar policies, affecting consumers' wallets and overall satisfaction. Such fees can accumulate, especially for frequent diners, making dining out a more costly affair than it needs to be. It's essential for merchants to consider the impact of these fees on their customers' experience and wallets.

In conclusion, while Joe's Pizzeria undeniably serves a mouthwatering pizza that tantalizes the taste buds, the additional charge for using a credit card left me with mixed feelings. A truly customer-centric approach would be to eliminate these fees, ensuring that patrons can enjoy their delicious offerings without any financial surprises. Let's hope that in the future, businesses like Joe's Pizzeria reconsider their policies, creating a more enjoyable and affordable experience for all pizza...

I grew up on Joe's & have been a customer for at least 45 years. I have always recommended Joe's but that abruptly changed yesterday 4/7/19 when I had the unfortunate conversation with the current owner Mike (Gone are the good old days of Stan). My wife and I along with our 7yr old stopped in for lunch, we were the only people in the tiny dining room other than the owner Mike and an older couple he was having lunch with. If you have been to Joe's you know how small the dining area is. Owner Mike was having an extremely graphic conversation about abortion and how it's preformed. We decided this wasn't a conversation that we wanted to hear let alone subject our 7 year old to. We threw half of our food away to get our son out of the restaurant. I asked the Owner if I could speak to him which he agreed after telling his friends "this isn't going to be good". I explained our displeasure with his topic of conversation while we were eating lunch with our 7 year old. He blew me off and walked away back to the table with his friends. I was dumbfounded that the owner of a business would treat a customer in such fashion. I expressed my displeasure with his attitude and explained that I am a long time customer to which he smugly replied "let me guess, you're not coming back"! What a shame that such an iconic business has been sold to a person who could care less about his customer or even greater, talking so graphically in the presence of a child and show no remorse for doing so. Mike, you are correct, we will never make the 30 minute drive to your establishment again. Enjoy the reputation that the previous owner worked so hard to establish because you do...
