I’ve been going here for years and everything’s been pretty good every visit so prior to this I probably would’ve gave a 4 since service is usually “ok” unless you know the waitress. But we popped in last night about 6:30..it was a Wednesday bike night mind you...but it was pouring rain and there was only a handful of bikes. Not like usual. So we park by the shake shack and go in the back door to the dining room.. mind you I walk in with a baby in a car seat, a 4 yr old girl, a 12 yr old girl, and my wife.. I was immediately told...uhh this section is closed you’ll have to sit down at the bar which I kindly replied...well that’s not gonna happen we have a baby.. so then the waitress ask another gentleman if they were opening the dining section he replies No. I kindly said thank you we’ll take our business elsewhere. The reason for my low rating is because it was very discouraging to walk from the pouring rain into the restaurant area, be turned away and walk back out into it. I understand bike night is a slam for your business every week but if you’re going to advertise as a restaurant, I see it fair you withhold the same loyalty to your dining customers as you do the bikers and beer drinkers on Wednesday. I mean I’ve been going here for years, and lately once a week we’ve been dining in, getting drinks and food, And every time we dine in theres never an abundance of people in the dining area so I just don’t understand what the big deal was that my family and I sat up there. So for anyone who reads this, if your gonna have a dinner night with your family on Wednesday evening just take your business to Little York Tavern.. despite having separate bar and dining areas, they’ve always got servers willing to accommodate families and others that wish to be seated away from the...

Rip Rap Roadhouse is hands down one of the best hidden gems just north of Dayton! Located only a few miles from the casino, it’s absolutely worth the drive. From the moment you pull in, you can feel the nostalgia—especially if you’re into motorcycles. But even if you’re not, this place is 100% family-friendly and has something for everyone.
The property itself is huge, with acres of space, two show stages, several covered bars, a multi-level restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating, and even a Shake Shack–style ice cream parlor. It’s the perfect setup for entertaining friends, bringing the family, or just relaxing with great food and music.
Speaking of food—the brunch here is one of the best in the region, and whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I’ve never been disappointed. Every meal I’ve had has been cooked perfectly, served hot, and always delivered with a smile. The staff here are consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The entertainment scene is fantastic too. They host live bands regularly, especially during the summer, and Wednesday Bike Night is a must-see. The lot fills up with hundreds of bikes of every kind—two, three, four wheels, even sidecars! The atmosphere is lively, fun, and most importantly, inclusive. Everyone feels welcome here.
On top of all that, the owners are military veterans who are highly respected in the community, which makes supporting this establishment even more meaningful.
Bottom line: Rip Rap Roadhouse is the place to be for amazing food, great music, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Tell Stogie that...
Read moreRip Rap Roadhouse is decorated like a biker bar, and on many days it is one from driving by. Today it functioned as much as a place for people at the youth soccer games nearby to eat at afterwards, which is a cool thing to hit. The place is popular and was very busy, but it was a mixed experience for me.
The way they seat people is more like you need to find a table on your own, and you just have to be quicker than everyone else there at finding the seat that just opened up. Managed to spot something early in the process, but a larger group may have issues. The place is cool once you’re seated, as long as being loud is fine (depends on my mood, personally). Service was decent for the most part, and the food is average to a bit above depending on what you get. Burgers seem to be a hit, and the Brazilian sausage is good. You could also end up getting the jambalaya, which seemed to be rice topped with a spicy gravy and some peppers and meat instead of it being all cooked together. It was decent, but not jambalaya.
Would have given a 3.5 if that was possible on here, but I’m going with 3 since I had to pick one. Not somewhere I’d rush back to, but I’d like to give it another shot someday since there was enough here that I could see how people would go...
