I love walking into an ethnic restaurant—Mexican, Greek, Korean, whatever—and seeing the place packed with people from that culture. That’s how you know it’s the real deal. This spot? No exception. In fact, for the 90+ minutes we were there, it felt like my friend and I were the only non-Yemeni folks in the building.
I’d been here years ago with my Yemeni friend Salah, and it stuck with me. Lately, my friend Angelo and I have been on a serious Arabic food streak. Last time was a classic Lebanese joint in Dearborn. Before that, a killer Iraqi place in Sterling Heights. This time, I remembered this low-key spot from way back and told Angelo, “I’ve got something special for you.”
We roll in, and the waiter greets us with the kind of smile that instantly makes you feel welcome. We get seated in a booth, ask for some recommendations, and he suggests a few dishes—none of the pricey stuff either. We’re in.
Now here’s where it gets cool. Angelo notices one of the cooks on break eating something that wasn’t on the menu. He asks about it, and the waiter gives us a little pause, then goes, “Don’t worry, I got you,” and walks off.
Next thing you know, dish after dish starts showing up—each one more mind-blowing than the last. Roasted lamb, baked beef, a chicken dish the cook made special, this insane lamb broth… And then, boom—he brings out that mystery dish the cook was eating and says, “This one’s on us.”
Every single bite was unforgettable. Pure flavor bombs.
So look—if you're after some Insta-perfect decor and watered-down, Americanized Middle Eastern food, this place isn’t it. But if you’re down for a hidden gem that’s authentic, warm, wildly affordable, and absolutely delicious? You need to go here. Trust me—you’ll be thinking about...

We ordered the lamb, beef, and mixed vegetables, each dish was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The house sauce? Incredible.
The only downside was the washroom, it could definitely be cleaner. But honestly, the food was so good it stole the spotlight. A hidden gem in the community worth checking out if you’re craving something authentic and satisfying!
Oh oh... The house tea is also amazing! Got...
