The Village Manor — Restaurant in Dedham

Based on the previous reviews I had a totally different experience at The Village Manor. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit in the noisy bar area or in the dinning room. Opted for the dinning room yet were the only table seated there.

The Cobb Salad recieved was not the same as the menu description. Recieved mostly iceberg lettuce vs 3 different lettuce types. Had to ask for missing ingredients.

This place must of been short staffed as my party got to-go containers yet no bill. Almost to the point of saying I wonder if someone paid for us or are we walking out without paying. Another staff personnel gave us our bill.

My party and I were disappointed in our food selections. Something else worth mentioning is the enterance had no sign, had to play guessing game of which door to use and where to park. Unsure if I would...

Found this place by accident after a very stressful day stranded in Dedham. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and cozy. Went straight for comfort food and got hot wings, friend pickles and a beer. It was all so good, that the next day we came back (from Quincy) and brought friends.

Had been to the Village Manor for functions before and enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the whole experience. Just called to place a takeout order for the first time and was truly disappointed. A lady named Nancy answered the phone. Aside from sounding that it was a chore for her to take my order when I inquired about one of the specials she barked at me that it dine in only and always has been! Hard for me to know since it was my first time ordering from there....Thanks Nancy! Great way to chase...
