Old Hickory Bar — Restaurant in Deerfield Township

Cold onion rings, burned shrimp and burned tater tots. Asked server for a glass of water 3 times and ended up having to walk up to the bar to get it myself. Had to ask for our appetizers as server did not bring them. Server left all plates and dirty drink glasses on the table and we had to ask her to remove them. She did not appear to know what she was doing. Also, she had very long finger nails— totally gross when you are serving food.

Also, the server would not provide us an itemized receipt. We had two checks at our table and there was no way to tell if the bill she gave us was ours, it could have even been from another table. We asked for itemized and she played with her handheld machine and said she can’t do one.

We asked to speak with a manager. She said she did not know if they were there. Then she said she did not think they were there. Overall experience for all 4 of us was 8...

My boyfriend is local and brought me here for the first time because he's always loved the food, but we were both very dissapointed. The pizza was burnt and didn't have the bacon on the Hawaiian. We ordered a Greek and an antipasto was brought out. The server did get us a greek salad to go but it didn't have the croutons, the cucumbers weren't good, there was barely any onion, and the tomato chunks were so big that I had to cut them up to even eat them. The servers should also notify the customers if you have to wait over an hour for food. We understand that Friday nights are busy, but to not tell us that it was gonna be over an hour wait was just crazy to me. I was a server for 10 years and would notify customers if it was going to be over a 20 minute wait, let alone an hour! The music is so loud, we couldn't even have a conversation so no wonder the servers can barely hear...

A horrible pizza experience. This past weekend, we decided to go with Ol' Hick as opposed to North Shore....terrible choice. We ordered a large BBQ chicken and a Large Hawaiian. The pizza smelled amazing, but when we got it home, it was immediately disappointing. It looked burnt. The BBQ chicken had no BBQ sauce, and the chicken was undercooked. The Hawaiian had no ham.....literally no ham!! We were stunned. Our boys can eat.....big eaters, hence the 2 large pizzas.....but nobody had more than two pieces. We added Blues Hog BBQ sauce....and it still couldnt save the BBQ Chicken pizza.....and nothing could save the Hawaiian!! We will never order from them again. The reason they get 2 stars....well, they are affordable......$39 for two very large pizzas.....but if they could just meet Little Caesars level production, they would have gotten 3 stars. A total failure on...
