Not a super frequent Starbucks patron, I try to limit my visits to when I have a gift card or rewards points to cash in cuz it pains me to spend $6—7 on a coffee that already felt overpriced when my usual cinnamon dulce latte went up to $5+ a few years ago 😞💸
But I do appreciate being able to place a mobile order when I leave Ryan Ranch & by the time I drive down to Stonecreek, park & walk inside it's almost always ready for me to pick up—which is why Del Rey Oaks is my favorite Starbucks location in this area.
☕ routinely the fastest making my order ☕ most consistent in preparing our go-to drinks perfectly every time ☕ most likely to have what we want to order in stock AND available via mobile order 💭 some other stores disallow mobile ordering at seemingly random times & occasionally for extended periods 💭 easiest location to swing by, run inside & head out quickly thanks to ample parking & fewer other customers at any given time 💭 at the mall & especially downtown Monterey, having to park super far away seems like the norm....no big deal if there's no time crunch to factor in, but otherwise I just avoid the busier stores in the more tourist-y areas. 9x out of 10 it'll take way longer than anticipated & defeat the purpose of the mobile order in the first place 💭 Sand City & Crossroads in Carmel have plenty of parking right outside the store but both are extremely busy almost on a daily basis—they're the slowest locations by far & most likely to run out of certain items or shut down mobile ordering temporarily
💥💥 #1 TIP FOR GETTING THE MOST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK AT STARBUCKS 💥💥 ALWAYS ORDER THRU THE APP & ALWAYS CHECK OUT W/ A GIFT CARD PAYMENT!!!
You earn 2 rewards points per $1 spent via a gift card saved to your account in the app so to maximize those rewards add funds to a gift card then place your order. If you're gonna spend 7 bucks on a cup of coffee, might as well bank 14 points toward a free one in the...

Read moreManager felt comfortable enough to tell me to pick up my mobile order outside and felt comfortable enough to end our conversation with a “You go sister” but somehow did not feel comfortable enough to notice my entire time inside the store. Somehow Melanie failed to notice me place an additional order inside, or notice me pick up the order, or notice me wait for acknowledgement or eye contact so I could also pick up my mobile order. This is completely abhorrent behavior as a partner on its own, let alone a manager, but clearly the racial sensitivity training and pledge to inclusiveness at Starbucks has proven insufficient. I should not have to explain to a manager that you should not refer to every black woman you see...
