Wild Plum Kitchen — Restaurant in Monterey

We couldn't believe this tiny little place was putting out such amazing food! We had wanted to go to the wild plum cafe, but it was closed that day and we almost didn't make the extra effort to come here. So glad we did! We tried a couple of different pastries, both were well above average, but the QUICHE! If the have any variety of quiche and you don't order it, well, I probably don't want to know you....

Visiting from out of town, I was looking for a breakfast spot convenient to where I was staying. Found this and headed over, expecting a typical, table service place. Instead, we found basically a coffee bar with counter service. Did that matter? NO!

We waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive even though the restaurant was not busy. My salad was ok. My son's burger was burnt. When we pointed out to our waitress that it was burnt, she seemed incredulous and demanded to look at it. Then she asked what she should do about it. Not a great customer experience.
