Rose Garden Family Restaurant — Restaurant in DeLand

I recently moved to the Palm Coast area and finally was able to stop by this wonderful hidden gem in Astor. The facility is nicely kept , menu has a nice variety for lunch! Chicken quesadilla best I ever had, and I used to leave in a cosmopolitan area in South Florida, so I was pleasantly surprised by the great food! Breakfast seems to be the place to go....lots of choices! I had the opportunity to meet the owner I believe and hope to spell her name correctly Jenisa, very hospitable and pleasant lady, she actually waited on us, I was happily surprised to have such a great service and food! After having eaten at the Rose Garden Restaurant a couple of times over the years, I can say that the service and staff are really friendly and the food is pretty good. Sadly, the manager is not the nicest person in the world. I would like to send a prayer out into the universe especially for him and the restaurant staff. “Dear Creator, Please bless the manager and staff at this establishment and bring love, joy, peace, and happiness into their hearts so that they may prosper, thrive, and bring joy to their patrons on a daily basis. First time there. Nice clean restaurant. Stopped in for lunch, and they were about half full. Hostess was very pleasant. We were seated immediately with no wait. We sat outside on the deck. Very, very comfortable. I had the lunch special which was very good. A gyro with everything on it. They had a name for it, which I don't recall, but my description fits it perfectly. My lunch mates had the chicken sandwich and said it was a little bland, but still good enough to ask for carryout boxes. All in all, it was a great place to go for something new to do.
