Several friends and I had some time to kill before golfing at the Dellbrook Golf Course so we decided to have some breakfast at Greenie’s Clubhouse. Greenie’s is the restaurant at Dellbrook. The place is a little old and worn looking, but clean. And, breakfast I had was fabulous.
I love Eggs Benedict. Eggs Benedict was on the menu. But, I had to stay in playing shape and Eggs Benedict can be a little heavy and would likely “slow down” my Tremendously mediocre golf game. Then I saw that half orders were available. So that is what I ordered. I am really glad I did!
The half order was more than an amble amount of food. The food was absolutely delicious. The egg was perfectly cooked, the English muffins was crispy but not hard, and the Hollandaise Sauce to die for! Probably the tastiest Hollandaise Sauce I have eaten. All for a paltry price of $6.49 with coffee and hash browns.
Service was also excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive and efficient.
Look past the aging environment at Greenies and you will be treated to...
Read moreOn advice from a neighbor, Hubby and I went to Greenie's for a Friday night fish fry. Our neighbor had said Greenie's was a good place to go as they had great food for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. It is a relatively small place situated at the edge of a golf course, unpretentious but lively, most everyone seems to know each other, so must be many "regulars". The menu is varied with a wide selection, prices are very reasonable, wait staff was friendly and attentive. There is a small bar and drinks are served as well, if that is to your liking. We both ordered the fish fry special and the food is SO very delicious. Greenie's fish fry is not "all you can eat" but our plates were filled and you will NOT go away hungry, that's for sure! We will be going back again to try...
Read moreGeorge runs this place like a Swiss watch. The food is always on point and the service is always excellent. Don't be fooled by the parking lot being full, as they share their lot with the golf course, and typically there are far more golfers than there are patrons in the restaurant. This isn't because of subpar food or subpar service, it's just because there's more people golfing than there are eating. I recommend the Cuban panini with the tater tots. George smokes all of his meat in house and is well known for his signature individualized catering services. A great place to get lunch and they also have...
