I like to give in depth reviews because I believe thatâs what helps me make the best choices when I read other reviews.
My family traditionally eats out the day after Christmas.. Bonz was an excellent choice. It was our 2nd time there and it wonât be our last. Starting with our hostess ( I think her name was Sharon., not sure because my sister spoke with her more) but she knew who we were as soon as she greeted us; so friendly and familiar it enhanced our experience and was a good beginning to a great meal âŠ
The drinks kicked off the fun..I had a Deep Berry (vodka)⊠well made. They didnât have any dinner specials this time and surely didnât need it. So most of us started with.the pear mache ..very yummy (I thought it had just a tad bit too much smoke flavor but everyone else said theirâs was fine..very light with delicate greens..overall a nice change from traditional salad..However, the only thing that caused us to pause was that it was supposed to have carmelized pecans, we got honey roasted peanuts and wasnât informed of the substitution. That made it a little hinky because for one it changes the taste, two we werenât told so it felt like âletâs see if they noticeâ and three someone couldâve had a peanut allergy..but overall I would order it again. I was also told the baked oysters were delish. .For dinner, some of us had the short ribs and greens âŠthey were tender and very yum..it definitely was a table favorite. The crab and rockfish was on point and the rack of lamb was very tender. Desert choices were limited Iâm sure because of the holiday but the peanut butter pie was a nice surprise..it was garnished with blueberries and had a chocolate crumb crust; which at first we were like âhmmmââŠthen once we tasted it all together..it was a party of flavors in our mouthsâŠit totally made senseâŠ.âŠAlso the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e I heard was very good. Needless to say we were all Fat and Full and had to run home to stretch out..LOLâŠđ€Łđ€Ł that makes it a great meal and our new after Xmas tradition. Thanks everyone for a...
Read moreMy husband and myself treated ourselves for a New Yearâs Eve dinner. Nicole being our server saved our night. She is an awesome server, bubbly, knows her stuff, so excited about the food she serves! To our disappointment the food wasnât what we expected. We ordered the porterhouse for two. Medium rare, mashed potatoes and asparagus. We have had a steak dinner for two in a few other Resturants, it has always been served sliced, well when this steak came out it was not medium rare it was over cooked for our liking and it was not sliced. My husband had to slice it on a dish that kept sliding on the table, if your not going to slice it then you should serve it on a cutting board. It also was served with green beans not asparagus, which I would guess your kitchen did not communicate with your servers since nicole had no idea that they had given us green beans. She did offer to return the steak to the kitchen since it was so over cooked, but we said no since it was getting late. With all this being said I donât believe we will be...
Read moreMy recent visit to Bonz restaurant was truly exceptional, thanks to the outstanding team led by Dj Silicato and Chef Manuel Gallo. From the moment we arrived, their warm greetings made us feel instantly at home. The highlight of our evening was the Tomahawk table-side flambé experience, skillfully prepared by Chef Gallo. Watching the flames dance around the perfectly cooked steak was mesmerizing, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. Every bite was a symphony of tastes, confirming Chef Gallo's status as a culinary master. Bonz restaurant offers more than just a meal; it provides a sensory journey. Whether you're a food enthusiast or looking for an unforgettable night out at Harriton Raceway Casino, I highly recommend experiencing the culinary artistry of Dj Silicato and Chef Manuel...
