Usually the pizza at Fratelli's is okay, however, upon ordering from them several times we in hopes for a mediocre pizza ordered a REGULAR cheese pizza with extra sauce. This is not the first time we have ordered a cheese pizza with extra sauce and like almost any DECENT pizzeria, the extra sauce is put UNDER the cheese. We called Fratelli's to inform them that this is not what we asked for and the kitchen manager claimed that "this is the way we've always done it". Respectfully, like I said, from the time they've been open we've ordered a cheese pizza with extra sauce before and it has NEVER been like this. My family also informed the kitchen manager that the sauce was cold and clearly plopped on last minute to account for their apathetic behavior and general forgetfulness. The kitchen manager continued to swear up and down that this is the way they have always done it and unfortunately lying about a product and then proceeding to argue about it is not indicative of a business that values their customers nor deserves future money for mediocre, inconsistent, and bland food. Will not be returning, suggest others...
Read moreI placed my order over the phone at 5pm and was quoted around 25-30 minutes. Showed up 30 minutes later to pick up my food. It was a little chaotic at pick up and I waited about 10 minutes in line to pay and pick up. We ordered the castelli sandwich, meatballs, rice ball and fries. Overall the food was great and the sandwich was top notch compared to some of the other Italian sandwiches I have had in this area. Coming from NJ, quality Italian food down here in Delaware is hard to find. Their fresh mozzarella in the sandwich was great, the bread was good and their chicken cutlet were the best I've had in this area. The meatballs and rice balls were fantastic. We look forward to trying more menu items over the coming weeks. If you're going to come during their soft opening, expect to wait a little longer while they iron out the kinks. This is a welcomed addition to the area and I hope they continue to expand on their counter...
Read moreThis is my favorite place to eat whenever I am traveling through Middletown. Mario, his family, and his staff are some of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and talking to. Everyone was so nice, and the food spoke for itself. The meatball subs are the best I've ever, EVER had, period. Their pizza is solid along with the cheesesteaks. If you are in a hurry, they have a "grab and go" deli case with a very nice variety of assorted offerings that won't disappoint. I can't say enough great things about this place. Everyone should definitely give them a try. Your taste buds will thank you. Keep doing what you're doing, Fratelli's, and I will see...
