Mashida Chicken — Restaurant in Delaware

I came for an online pick up order on a Tuesday . Order was ready in 20 minutes as it said online. The person was very nice. My order seemed to have some packaging issues? My chicken box was held together with a rubber band and busting out the side and sauce was spilling out the corners where it was ripped. Not sure why they didn't just put it in a new box but I gotta give it to them for not wanting to waste a box. Chicken was flavorful & crispy & oh so yummy! Made me want to try all the flavors ( and I will challenge myself to do so lol) and styles! The fried dumplings were so so so delicious! Perfect crispy exterior with an amazing filling! I could have eaten 2 orders of these but....the sauce served with these...was soo soo soo nasty! It coated my mouth In oil and it wasn't pleasant. It was spicy buy not a flavorful spice just hot. It had a sourness to it that really didn't go well with the fried dumplings Thankfully I had some sweet soy sauce I used instead and that worked & was so good! Unfortunately I may have eaten melted styrofoam because I didn't realize it melted into it until I moved the peice covering the whole and realized it melted it. I love that they went the extra step to ad sesame seeds to it. The rice was fluffy & cooked well. I've still been telling people to try their food since I've ate there and I look forward to trying to eat...

My husband wanted to try this place because we seen great reviews, but unfortunately their customer service is less than desirable. We placed an online order (first time customers) and didn’t see an option to have the sauce on the side and noted. Upon pickup, we noticed that the sauce wasn’t on the side and it was all over the chicken. We called back to let them know there was an error on our order but the person on the phone said I was out of luck because it’s not like he can sell that chicken to someone else. I wasn’t asking for him to sell our chicken to someone else, or for a refund from him. It was our first time ordering and we noted the online order. He told me that he will not refund or remake the order. I’m not sure why they think remaking an order is a big ordeal, but they assured me that they wouldn’t be able to fix the situation. It’s very upsetting to see a small business in Delaware with lackluster customer service, because I was looking forward to trying them out. They recently had a name change and have health code violations when I looked them up online and changed the name to try to eliminate that from their records. It seems very suspicious to me and sad that we will not be ordering from them again. The management should have’s better customer service skills, maybe they will learn that...

In response to Lu, Mashida Chicken- Having the same supplier for your ingredients does NOT make you a sister company of CM Chicken. You may go through the same suppliers but also the fact that your presentation is an exact copycat of CM chicken's Snow Onion (white sauce topped with sliced onions) along with other dishes is utterly egregious. It's identical to CM Chicken and that sir, is what you call a knockoff. You should be embarrassed lying to the public. I stand by my review 100%.

Was excited to try Mashida Chicken and I won't return. Walked in and the first thing I noticed was an odd odor like a prior reviewer mentioned. Sat down and looked at the menu and started to realize that the menu is a total knockoff of CM Chicken. From the white sauce topped with onions, Curry chicken, other flavor profiles to the presentation of parsley sprinkled on top of the chicken. It was identical! Only difference is CM CHICKEN TASTES BETTER! Shame on you for copying another restaurant. I'm surprised you're not sued for this. This place is a joke. I refuse to patron a restaurant that copies another restaurant from its' flavors right down to their presentation. It lacks originality and is unethical.
