I used to be the Asst GM here from ‘93-‘99. I came back home to DE to get things in order for my upcoming wedding. I wanted to take my fiancé around my hometown, ending with a bite to eat at Pat’s which I’ve talked about so much because it has really great food and because it was my favorite places I worked at in my youth. (I actually have dreams about working here!) Anyway, after ordering, I went back to the counter to look around since they did some major renovations since I left there. I was telling the teenagers/younger people that there used to be a drive-thru, an employee bathroom, a bar, no wall divider, huge fountain outside, etc. The AGM (I know the GM was there, Nico, since he helped out at our location if we were short staffed because we were the largest location at that time and not just a takeout unlike the other ones at that time, and bc he took my spot when I left, then took it over when the drunk GM left for Greece). Anyway, the AGM came over to the counter and started berating me hardcore. She came over and said in a sharp tone, “Excuse me! Is there something that you need? No? Then why are you talking to these people?! Is there something I can help you with? What is it that you need? (Me): No, I don’t need anythi– (She cuts me off) Then if you don’t need anything from here then why don’t you just sit down until I call you for your food, egh?! You have no reason to be here talking to them!
I was in shock! My food was ready the second her lil tirade was over. The GM looked to his side through the window, gave a small smile and nodded his head once at me as was his standard greeting to those he knows. I was about to call him over as well as a delivery driver that has been working there since before I started til this day and embarrass her by calling her every nasty Greek word I remember!
Anyway, the food was great! Same as it always has been. If it wasn’t for her I would have given it 5 stars. I would have not been petty, but I had another encounter with her during my wedding week months later, so NOPE! It’s...
Read moreTruly gross, me, my immediate family, uncle, cousins, and grandmother stopped in after visiting the local cemetery this Christmas eve and let me tell you we are never coming here again. It was order at front so my uncle began talking to the cashier just having a conversation and immediately the manager comes up and asks in the rudest way possible if there's a problem, our first red flag. My uncle said no just talking and the manager said if you're not ordering sit down ( the place was dead, one other customer). It comes time to get drinks (self serve) and my grandmother went to get coffee and she said it tasted bitter, like it was sitting out so she asked when was it brewed, the manager said it was brewed and sitting there since 8. it was 2:30 at this point, my grandmother asked if they could rebrew it since the coffee was old and over brewed, they said no and told her to just get a soda. fast forward 30 mins. We get a freezing cold pizza that tastes like straight oregano soaked in chilled grease and my aunts sub had 2 long hairs made into the sandwich, she didn't find this out unit she took a bite. As soon as me and my family got home we threw up and just can't stop throwing up. poor service, worse food. Please don't go here, Seasons Pizza is right up the street and...
Read moreCheese steaks are good. Fast and friendly service. Clean. Pat's has many menu entrees, appetizers and many daily specials.
So who’s Pat? We get this question all the time. Pat was the original founder of Pat’s, a sandwich shop in Pennsville, New Jersey. In 1974, Pat sold the business to three cousins from Greece that worked for him in the shop. Tony, Joe, and John (pictured) took over the store in the spring of 1974 and immediately added pizza to the menu (and to the name). Thus began Pat’s Pizza.
As our family grew, so too did the business, as more cousins, uncles, nephews, and later on sons joined the family business opening more stores in neighboring communities. As the business grew one thing always remained the same - serving delicious fresh food to our local communities.
Throughout the years our menu has grown and has incorporated more than just pizza and sandwiches. Today we are serving delicious pasta dishes, your favorite fried appetizers, fresh and healthy salads, and so much more. But we always stay true to our roots and focus on serving the best food made with the freshest ingredients. We hope to serve our communities for years and...
