Traveling through the greater Smyrna area I became hangry. Needed a feeding post haste. My traveling companion quickly took to Google maps to find something quick to thwart my hunger induced attitude problem. When I heard the words “oh this bbq joint has 4.9/5 and the pics look great” I knew we had to make the 1.3 mile detour. I am soooo glad I listened to my ever-expanding stomach. We shared the brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, Mac n cheese and bbq baked beans. I wish I had taken photos before I disassembled the sandwich to make it a manageable size to fit into my mouth. To say my attitude was quickly improved is an understatement. I think I’ve brought up Pit Daddy every 15 minutes or less since we stopped. Sooooo worth the small diversion. Although it’s about 2.5 hrs from home, I will return asap. The owner (sorry I suck with names) showed us around and explained the cooking processes he employs after we were done eating. Awesome guy, awesome food. Love this...
Read moreToday was my first time trying Pit Daddys BBQ and I will definitely be back. I was hoping to try their Brisket, but it wasn't on the menu today. Instead I got the BBQ chicken which was wonderful and came with a drumstick and thigh for $6.00. They were perfectly seasoned and had a nice wood smoke flavor. Lovely. I also tried the Pulled Pork Platter which came with your meat and 2 sides. I chose the mac and cheese and collards and passed on the bun since I got pasta. The mac and cheese was perfect and the noodles weren't overcooked like most places do. Also their collards had a nice black pepper kick and a generous helping of bacon...yum The pork was nice and I appreciated that they served the sauce on the side, but the chicken was the winner today. The patter was $14.00 so in total I spent $20.00 but there was enough food for my husband and I to share. I can't wait to go back and try the brisket. Thank you for sharing your...
Read moreI grew up in St. Louis which has some of the best BBQ in America. I moved to DE about 10 years ago and have been unable to find even decent BBQ here (I'm a bit spoiled from all that STL BBQ). My girlfriend recently moved to Felton, DE and we were looking for a place we could meet for lunch. We saw the reviews of this place online and decided to give it a try. I was a bit reluctant since I have not found any good BBQ here. Pit Daddy's did not disappoint. It is hands down the BEST BBQ I have had here. I would put CJ's BBQ skills up against the best Pit Masters in STL. We had the brisket, chicken nachos, mac & cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. Everything was absolutely amazing. It is so good. I can't wait to go back. I could eat it everyday. CJ's customer service was also amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you CJ for restoring my faith in DE BBQ. We...
