First time dinning at Stanley’s since the recent renovations. The interior layout is basically the same as before, however there are more flat screen tv’s and less memorabilia on the walls. The paint, floor and the leather in the seating looks to have be renewed also. Along with new light fixtures (they removed the out dated Tiffany lamps) it retains it’s original bar feel with a refreshed look. I assume there are changes to the menu but they must be so slight that I did not notice them. The salad bar is still their with it’s gummy bears. I had roast beef AuJus tasty but I got so little AuJus I had to ask for more. The wife got the grilled cheese brisket with pimento cheese she enjoyed it. I think this may have been a new item on the menu. Service was good. . Overall it is still the Stanly’s we know and love. This is where I think Google should increase the rating system for restaurants to 1 thru 10. To me this place is better than a 3 but not a quite a 4 (I am hard pressed on this system to give 5's) on a 1 to 10 this...

My husband and I ordeted beers. They were out of that one so he ordered a different beer (also out), finally he orders a beer they have on the menu that hasn't kicked yet. No biggie, it happens (annoying but it happens). I ordered a wine. The waitress comes back with his beer and tells me they have to go grab a bottle for my wine. We finish our meal and she comes with a electronic device to tell us our total (no way to see the bill first). I pay and when I look at the receipt texted to me I see I was overcharged for my wine by $2.50. I ask the waitress and she stated they didn't have the moscato I ordered so she got me something else. No mention of this or that it cost more at any point during the meal. She just changed the item to a higher priced item and had no intention of telling me. I hope it was worth it because I will not be returning do to this...
Read moreI have to be really honest. Been going to Stanley's for 30 plus years and I've seen good things and bad. The service is always relatively great and the food is usually pretty decent. The reason for the three stars is that they used to have during football games discounted apps. Now I know they just went through a change in ownership, but I don't know of any place around that charges that much for wings, especially during an eagles game. We used to come here for all the late night games, but may have to change our minds. Hopefully they will get enough feedback that they may reconsider their pricing structure as it was previous to the new owners. I realize there's a burning in for new owners. Let's hope they stay around long enough to see...
