We went out for a belated Father’s Day dinner. The prime rib was OK per my husband, the barbecued platter was good, the pasta dish was good, hamburger/cheeseburger was good, etc. The best was dessert. The staff was very friendly and over all great. Fair warning, an extra roll (singular) is $3. If we go back it’ll be to try the breakfast. For wheelchairs, the space is tight but the staff is accommodating. A table will have to be slightly moved to use the door closest to the ramp/transition. No problem unless there’s people there. The hallway to the bathroom has high chairs there but the staff said they’d move them. The men’s bathroom is big and great turning room as far as bathrooms are concerned. For the fathers, there’s a changing table and even a kids step stool in there; which I thought was very thoughtful! They have the good toilet paper too. 😉 Most people take pics of food, I take pics of the real perks lol.

I like breakfast anytime of the day especially with a great referral from a friend. Went to The Nook for the first time today. It's a small corner building in a strip mall at Paynters Mill in Milton Delaware. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything seems to be made from scratch, fresh. Wide variety of foods available! Started with coffee and a mimosa. The mimosa seem to be made with fresh squeezed orange juice and a wedge of orange with champagne. I ordered the Spanish omelette and instead of having potatoes, had small salad with lime vinaigrette and small fresh berry mixed fruit with my Spanish omelet. Soooo good. You're not rushed to make a selection and you're not rushed out of the restaurant after completing the meal. It was full when we came in and full when we left. Clean, great service and atmosphere.

Great find! Another reviewer made a comment about this place being a "hidden gem", and they could not be more right. There is not much dining space inside, but they have a large tent set up outside for additional seating as well. They have a nice variety of options for all meals, and we will definitely be back. It took a little longer than I expected for the food to arrive, but it was worth it. Our portion sizes were HUGE, and everything we had was delicious. My El Paso salad was full of fresh veggies, and the crispy tortilla strips were the perfect topper. Looking forward to trying other choices on future visits.

After seeing good things about this place, we stopped on our way home from vacation. There was quite a line when we arrived a little after 10am. We took that as a good sign, because people wouldn't be waiting if it wasn't great. We put our name in and waited.

It was at least a 30 minute wait which wasn't terrible, but it seemed like we did far more waiting during our visit than eating. We had to wait for our waitress. Then she wouldn't take our food order when she took drink order, even though we were ready. Then we had to wait for her to come back for awhile.

Ordered our food and it came out looking great, however the waitress assumed that our kids were sharing one waffle, even though I clearly stated that they each wanted one. Her demeanor was as if we were being silly "because most kids just share"??? I don't even know.

Then we had to wait for my son's order to be made. Finally got to eat. Waffles were missing some of the fruit which disappointed the kids and they were so rubbery that even my husband and I had trouble cutting them. My food was good, but a bit overpriced for what it was. My husband wasn't impressed and said that while it wasn't bad, it wasn't anything special. The kids did say the waffles were good, however.

Overall, everything was just underwhelming and seemed overpriced. $8 for a cup of juice? $6 for 3 strips of bacon? We also had to wait for the check and finally had to ask for it bluntly, so we could pay and leave. It was loud, packed in there and you felt like you were elbow to elbow. It was after 12 until we got out of there. We just won't be returning.

After reading more reviews, it's also very telling that the owner replies to negative reviews in a defensive and...

had a super odd experience here. we were seated and then no one addressed us for about 10 min, we werent even given menus. not a big deal but 10 min is a bit long to be sitting at a table with no menus and just staring at one another, so i took some menus that were piled out on the bar. honestly thought i was just being helpful, rude employee asked "can i help you with something??" in a snarky tone. i said "i was going to bring some menus over to our table." she said ILL BRING THEM TO YOU. it was obviously just someone on a power trip. the wait for the food was also pretty long and the food was good, nothing spectacular, the windows were a bit dirty and there were some bugs. idk, this place seems unloved to me. unhappy/rude employees, not spectacularly clean, food just ok. if you work in service industry for tips, you dont have to be over the top nice just maybe dont be outright rude lol. i have been a waitress i get it but i wouldnt berate a customer for picking up some menus..calm down. there are so many other brunch spots, it would have been nice to go elsewhere and maybe be greeted by a...

Service was okay, but the food not great, I ordered avocado toast and the eggs were so cold, I ask them to please re heat it or make a new one, the waitress came back with food telling me that if they re-heat the avocado it will be ruined, and I told her that re heated just the eggs, 5 minutes later the cook came back and told me the same thing, and emphasize that avocado is cold, just this is the first time for me to have avocado toast, and ask me if I want him to re do it? I told him YES, took another 7 to 8 minutes to get it, and my husband was already done with his breakfast, people that came after us were already gone, second time was much better but the waitress didn't even come back to ask if we need more coffee, very disappointed with food and service, I tried better avocado toast, we are not coming back, they didn't even give us a discount for the terrible service. Definitely I won't recommend this place and we are not coming back, there are better place like Back Yard or Honey's where they help you with a smile and the food is...
