House of Chin — Restaurant in Delta

We ate there yesterday. This was our first and last time to eat here. These were the worst Chinese dinners (one chicken and one shrimp) we've ever had at a restaurant.

After 20 minutes waiting for the meals we still had no soup despite the menu clearly indicating it comes with the meal. When we asked about it they refused to provide either soup or salad because they "have a new menu and don't offer it any more". Then we asked to see the new menu and were told, "It has not been printed yet".

Eventually the chicken arrived but we waited (and waited) for the shrimp. By the time it arrived (10+ min later) the chicken was completely cold. We had been there 45 minutes already. The chicken was then "rewarmed" and returned just barely warm. It was nowhere close to hot. Not even the sauce was warm.

The shrimp meal was hot and steaming. The chicken was very dry despite being breaded and covered in a sauce. It was not rewarmed enough to have caused the chicken to be dry. The chicken never was steaming or hot, not even intially. It may have been made much earlier than when it was ordered. It was definitely not fresh.

They did include rice. We asked for fried rice and received only rice mostly coated with soy sauce and without any vegetables in it. We felt we hit the jackpot when we found one tiny piece of egg which was so small we almost didn't see it!

If I could give less than one star I could. I am in town from out of state visiting my mom and we stopped in here for a bite to eat. My mom ordered egg foo young and asked for it well done and I ordered the Sweet-and-sour chicken. And some friend cheese wontons to start. The fried cheesebwintons were drastically under cooked. My mothers egg foo young was almost burnt. She didnt eat it, picked off my plate. When we told the waiter he said he was so sorry and we said we didnt want a redo we were done. Asked for boxes and our check. I was surprised when the meal we did not eat/was burnt was not comp or take off our reciept. I asked why not and he kept saying I'm sorry over and over again. My mother was watching the cashier touch his face and play with his hair behind the counter in between orders as well as not wearing gloves He refused to take the meal off and told him that we would never be bag the service it was awful it took over 15 minutes for us to get our order in the 1st place and the food was just awful I will...

I've eaten here twice and both times it's been less than satisfactory. First time, they were not that busy, maybe a total of 6 or 7 tables and yet the guy before me waited 15 minutes to be seated even though there was 2 wait staff, bus boy and a food runner. The wait staff stood around ignoring people coming in the door. It took 15 minutes for me to even get to pave my to go order and then another 30 minutes for me to get my food. It wouldn't have been an issue except my food was little warm when I got it. Tonight I went in to give it another chance and I got my food within 10 minutes which means the food wasn't cooked fresh which I knew also because my food was cold. It takes me 7 minutes to get home from the restaurant so my food should've still been warm but it wasn't. I had to hear it in my microwave. I also asked for green onion and got charged for it but I did not receive any.
