FABULOUS!!!! I am sooooo thrilled and surprised to have such excellent sushi in Delta! My mom and I are already planning weekly meals here. We started with the veggie spring rolls, which were delicious. Simple, but the vegetables were fresh and since I love vegetables, I thought they were an excellent start. We ordered Sumo, dynamite and Venus rolls. All three were very fresh and delicious. My one issue was the pieces were so big that I couldn’t fit them in my mouth in one bite. Not really a downside, mainly an observation. I also took a picture of the soy sauces. This may seem strange, but this is one of the very few Asian restaurants I’ve been to that offers both regular AND low sodium. The tea was also delicious!! ALL THE YUMS!!!

Yes! Yes! And Thank you! They were so busy. I guess Delta, Co needed sushi! Kind service. Waited about 30 minutes after takeout order. Not bad for a new place. You can see in the photos that they took time to prepare. The fish was fresh and delicious. Wasabi was smooth with a kick :). The bowls are great if you are really hungry, though sushi won us over. Our favorite was the Salmon Roll. Such a wonderful and healthy option for our town. We did take out… though the restaurant looked very clean and crisp and white… was not my style… I prefer dark with dangly red lights and photos of dragons on the wall. So, takeout it is! And perfect for my family. Thanks to the staff that handled it well.

Who'd have thought someone would decide Delta, Colorado would be a great place for a sushi bar, but there it is. The sushi was as good as I've had in Denver and better than what I've tried in Grand Junction. The restaurant is small, tucked into a rear corner of what is one of the dumbest highway interchanges in the state, and atmosphere is non-existent, white on white with spartan tables and chairs. Conveniently, even though it was Friday evening, there were few diners. The room is immaculate, as a sushi bar should be, but overall it was like dining in an empty laundromat. The staff - family members I believe - are very nice, although service was a bit slow and . . . weird. For example, when we ordered a Josh cabernet from a table-top placard, our server said they don't offer Josh. That was annoying, but, whatever. Then, after we placed our order, I looked up at the wall and noticed a niche holding a dozen or so bottles of Josh cabernet. Also, after being open several months, they don't offer carry-out menus. I live in Cedaredge. I'm not going to drive 16 miles, order from the regular menu and wait for the food to be prepared. But, as I said, the food...

Delta doesn't deserve this place, but we sure are so grateful that Sumo decided to call our awesome little town its home. Seriously, it's insanely good. I'm talking like what I'd expect from a sushi joint in Denver. I'm big into food. So is my wife. We are picky, and she's an amazing cook (I swear I'm not biased even though I love my wife dearly), so typically we just eat at home because we know she can make anything way better than any of the restaurants in the area offer... but then there's Sumo that just blows everything else out of the water. Somehow this place has the best sushi on the Western Slope by a metric longshot. It's mind blowing to me. Please go. Please support this gem. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Clean. Delicious. Quality. Amazing service. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Anyway, gonna finish my review now so I can order takeout again. I hope you're about to order some...
