I went to have breakfast this morning at Boston Coffeehouse in Deltona by the Walmart off Saxon. It was my first time there and I trusted the reviews online were accurate, that it was a good place to eat. The special was either pancakes or French toast with eggs/cheese and bacon. I asked for pancakes and added a small drink. She said the smallest they had was only medium. Ok...I got charged for a medium but she she still gave me a small cup. The total was $18.00! Fifteen mins later, the waitress brought my plate to the table. French toast was on the plate instead of pancakes and everything on it was cold. I didn't say anything about the pancakes, just asked if it could be warmed up. She took it back and within a minute she was back at the table and now the food was smoking.. so I figured microwave over-warming just happened. But then I got to looking at the food and it was not edible. The French toast was burnt and incredibly dry, no butter. The bacon was not real. It is the kind you 'heat and serve' out of a package of already cooked and it was still limp and raw. The eggs were fake and tasted like it! Seriously, $18 for a meal that is not fit to eat? The waitress came back to my table and asked if everything was OK and I said 'no'. Food is not only burnt and rubbery, it's all fake, my order was wrong and it was cold. Her next question was 'let us make you another'? Why would I want another plate of food that's fake? I'm not sure why this place is rating at 4.5 stars on reviews when that low quality of ingredients is put out on a plate and served to the public for $18 a pop, or why I'm being charged for a medium cup when they hand you a small. It was straight up tasteless garbage. I didn't ask for my money back. I got up and walked out. The photos don't even do it justice of how bad it really was. I never ate another bite!...
Read moreEDITED 3.24.25. MY post has been on here for over a year. Never got the courtesy of a response from the owner or even the manager. That's how chain restaurants roll. Better off sticking with locally owned family restaurants. They actually care and take care of their customers. Today I decided to give this place another shot. Stupid decision on my part. Boy did they disappoint AGAIN. First tried to order on their new app. There's no place for customizations or special instructions so I had to order in store. I was the only person there and waited for 20 minutes for a turkey BLT wrap that had no bacon on it and hardly any turkey. What I paid $10 for was a tortilla with mayo. I ordered the chef salad and the lettuce in it isn't green. It's yellow!!! Also ordered 2 iced coffees with different customizations. They weren't even marked which one was which. Staff couldn't care less. When this place first opened, it was fantastic now, I don't even know how they are still around. End of EDIT.I have been trying to reach customer service for this chain since March due to an issue with my order. They do not respond through FB Messenger and their customer service email at customerservice@bostoncoffeehouse.com does not work. My messages are getting bounced back by the postmaster. I have a speech impairment and rely on email to communicate. I enjoy the food here but when the customer service sucks it reflects on the business as a whole. I've reached out four separate times and am truly frustrated to...
Read moreLong time visitor - specifically when visiting the Deltona location, the last 4 experiences have been subpar if not poor. If you would've visited this location a year ago, it was amazing. I'm not sure if there has been a manager change or ownership transition but it's been a night and day difference, unfortunately trending in the wrong direction.
A year ago, I would've worked from my laptop all day in the facility since the service was so amazing. Manager or owner (not sure who it was) would walk up to me and say hi, the waiters and waitresses would hold a conversation and genuinely act like they were enjoying themselves, etc.
Now when we walk in, it takes several minutes just to be acknowledged. To checkout takes several minutes without anyone making eye contact with you. When ordering over the phone, we would pick up our food and realize the order was completely wrong. Waiters/Waitresses won't come back to check if you need anything and everyone just seems to really be in a bad mood.
I really hope this place turns around because I love supporting the local businesses. As of right now, if you're looking for food, coffee and great conversation, I would head to several of the locations in Sanford or simply go to the Boston Coffee that...
