Amigo's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Deming

Supposedly the best Mexican food in Deming. I guess that's only if you have exact cash and speak Spanish though. I've been here several times and always enjoyed the food and prices. Today, however, will be the last time I visit this establishment. I went in to order a plate and was asked if I had cash. After telling the lady that I did, she then asked me if I had exact cash. Well, of course not. How could I even know how much whatever I decided to order would come out to? She then repeatedly told me to come back later. I asked her politely if they had the food or not and again was told to come back later. Um, ok. WTH is that all about? I ended up feeling very embarrassed and unwelcome there. I told the lady 'thank you ma'am, I'll just go somewhere else.' She couldn't have cared less and happily responded 'ok!' and proceeded to take the order of the people behind me. I'm completely baffled. At any rate, I will never spend my money in this place again. Especially when there are loads of other establishments that are happy to serve their customers with great food...

I do not live in Deming but I stop every time I travel between New Mexico and Arizona to buy as much as $50 +. I religiously get several items. I enjoy the service but the hours of operation are not correct online. If business is not going to be open until the stated time of 4pm they should change the hours on line to reflect correct closing time. 3 times in the last month I have gotten off the freeway to find them closed early, well before 4. I quit going when I can’t depend on a business. If you’re gonna close before four, change the hours online, then I know not to...

Stopped by because I was craving a green chili bean burrito. I was not disappointed Jumbo burrito 5.75. Very tasty, customer service was great and the food was out quick. The atmosphere is small and cozy, no tables to sit and eat. It's usually the small mom and pops places that have really great food. Don't let the look of this place keep you from going in it will be worth it. Speak English...
