Pompei Pizza Factory — Restaurant in Denmark Township

Went on line and looked for different places to eat at. Looked at the reviews, thought we give this place a try. Drove the 30 minutes or so to get to Reese. It was around 1:00 pm, not busy at all, three people seated, and a few order pick-ups. First impressions as we walked in...very neat and clean, along with the restrooms. Our waitress "Dakota" was at our table pretty quick, with menu's and taking our drink order. The wife and I had already pretty much figured out we wanted before we got there from the on line menu. We ordered the Chicago Deep Dish with cheese and pepperoni. Took about 15-20 minutes to get to our table. Very nice blend of both the cheese and pepperoni. The crust was baked perfect. Dakota came to our table several times to check on us, and ask if we needed drink refills. We ended up taking half the pizza home, it's pretty big, and very filling. So if you've never stopped here as you drive thru Reese, and your hungry, it's a good stop....Yes we would drive the distance to...

Was it worth it? No.

Pizza undercooked (hardly cooked at all) Crust thin (+$1.75 for thicker crust) Light cheese (+$1.75 for extra cheese) Large chunks of green peppers & onions (not chopped) then just thrown on top (not covered in cheese because there is hardly enough).

Called to discuss the undercooked issue. Got the run-around... "what would you like us to do?" and "do you want it cooked well done?" Could've said... "We'll get you another pizza and it will be cooked right". But didn't.

I left the conversation right then as I knew there was no way this was going to...

Ordered take out. Was late in picking it up BUT.....LET ME TELL YOU.....I have worked in many restaurants and the job they did keeping our food as hot as possible was amazing. Yes it is hard to keep fried things crispy ESPECIALLY in a Styrofoam box with the paper liner.....condensation drips on the food and makes it soggy.....not these Fried Mushrooms though! Wings were lightly breaded and fried just right! My tenders were the same but hand breaded so non of that processed tender meat. As for the Stromboli.....AMAZING!! If you have never been here before stop ready this and go get...
