Oh my gosh the smallest little all American breakfast dinner. It was clear the minute we walked in, it was a local favorite. It was packed and everyone saying hi to one another. Even though it was busy it was not noisy at all. Very clean and quaint. Now let's gets to the breakfast food. Oh my god my chip beef on toast was to die for. It was 100% homemade and loaded with beef. Toast had real butter on it not no spray butter, the home fries where also perfectly cooked and so good. Then the omlet was packed full of fresh veggies and meat. Neither of us could eat our entire breakfast. This is truly a must stop to eat place.

Adorable, small diner in an old diner/gas station combo site. Right on the main drag headed to the Jersey Shore beaches. This unassuming little place lacks decor but makes it up in spot on diner food. They have short hours, but are definitely worth a visit! We had chipped beef and chicken salad. Both were tasty and fresh even though we arrived minutes from closing time! The perfect hash browns were a pleasant surprise as I'm not overly fond of greasy, mushy or burnt hash browns! The staff was pleasant and gracious even though they were wrapping it up for the day. Stop on by, you'll be glad you did!

Since this is located in New Jersey, how could it not be a great Diner? The epitome of the Mom and Pop Family Diner, they have a small but varied Menu, an excellent Waitstaff and better Prices than you will find in most other Diners in this part of NJ! Hours are limited, so get there early for a great assortment of Breakfast items or for a nice Lunch meal. We enjoyed Healthy Avocado Toast with less-than-Healthy Tator Tots this afternoon... yummy AND Vegetarian!

staying at a local campground, the group i was with wanted to get a ait down breakfast somewhere nearby. marges was the closest so we headed over. there was a very short wait which wasnt bad considering we had 7 people and it is a small place. the food was good and the guys doing the food running were really polite but the woman who took us to our table and even more so our waitress seemed absolutely miserable that we were there. Our party was split up into two separate tables but we shared the same waitress and when we were talking outside afterwards it came up amongst both groups of people that the woman who took our orders was rude, short woth everyone, and didnt even apologize when she spilled coffee onto the table and let food spill off of the plate when setting it down. we visited weeks ago, and to this day i can clearly see the scowl on her face during every interaction we had. anyway, the food was good but not good enough to justify going back and dealing with the potential to get that...

In truth, it looks like a hole in the wall and has a crass slogan to match ("Eat here, Get Gas.") Spoiler alert: there are no fuel pumps on premises. You walk in and there is 2 feet of room to walk through. It's not necessarily clear what you're supposed to do, and a bit awkward. And I do agree with other posters who have said the reception from the staff was a bit chilly in that "I wish I wasn't here today" kind of way. But the food was tasty, and not overpriced. The home fries were coated in like butter (or something? Milk?) to make them taste excellent. Crispy out, and soft in, just as they should be. And the place was packed, which means the food can't be bad. You rate things on Google in relation to expectations: it looks like a shack, so you're rating it against other local shack-type places. With friendlier customer service, it would...

I used to love this place. It has always been a staple for our family to stop at when visiting the shore. Today we walked in (5 of us) and when we told them how many the girl shook her head no and walked away. We thought she was looking for an appropriate table, but apparently not as she walked nearby a few times grabbing things for her tables. No one ever came back to us so we left and went to the Court House Diner further south on rt. 9. The most ironic part about everything was that the owner was sitting at the counter when this occurred and never said a thing.

Thats the last visit my family and I will ever make to Marge's. Our new staple is the Court...
