Not safe and when you try to be safe you get attitude and eye rolls. Have to go inside to order and everyone all crowded together around the front to order your meal. No one 6 ft apart or seem to care. We called when we were in the parking lot to make a order and asked if we could have it brought outside. We were told no! When we asked why, we were told because its safe in here and we all wear masks. Then we got another employee who said they would do it but they had an attitude about it. When asking to pay for it now on the phone by credit card, we got another no. They said they had to get the card in person and only after we get the food. We told them we would come out of car when they bring it out and place our card on the brick work next to the door and they could place the food there also. Again attitude! Finally food was ready, they came out rolled their eyes about us placing card down and backing away and them placing food. Then they walked away with the card rolling eyes and shaking head and acted like they were aggravated. Got it back with them shaking head and eye roll again. Apparently they don't care about their customers at all. Still can't believe this. No take out food is worth sickness or death. What is wrong with these people? We can all go other places for take out that has just as good food and it is much safer with restaurants bringing it out and placing food on the hood of the car and they all let you pay by credit card over the phone with no contact. All with a smile and a thank you for our order and...
Read moreI brought my friend and my daughter here because I had heard such great things about the place. They wanted seafood. I had my small 1 year old dog with me, I called ahead of time and asked if they were dog friendly, they said yes and explained that there was an open area in the back as well as a patio area where we could sit, just not inside. Great! When we got there, we walked around to the back and an employee was there cleaning the tables, I asked again if it was ok for us to sit there, I was told yes and to just pick a table, so we did. A few moments later a family walks in with a young girl and a baby in a stroller. The little girl kept going in and out but my dog was fine, she was under the table near my feet. There were also a bunch of birds and my dog barked. Shortly after that the man got back went inside and came out with whom I’m guessing was the manager, she didn’t introduce herself. She then told us we needed to move because that area was not allowed to have dogs. I explained, I had called to ask, that an employee told us it was ok once we got there and were also not told anything when our food was brought out. She then asked us to move to the patio where there were no umbrellas to cover us from the sun. It was embarrassing having to walk ourselves out to the patio in front of everyone. I’m sure that family was very happy to see the Black and Hispanic girls be removed. Needless to say we will never be coming back, the food was below...
Read moreCrazy huge portions of perfectly deep fried, batter dipped seafood and vegetables. The plate was over 8” long and piled 8” high with food. Unless you’re a really big eater and are very hungry, I strongly suggest sharing the plate meals. I couldn’t because no one would eat calamari with me. Although I had to dig under the mountain of onion rings and French fries to find the squid, there was a lot of it and (very importantly) NOT overcooked or chewy.
The most pleasant part is that their fryer was at a high enough temperature, so the food was not a total grease bomb.
Also, the lobster bisque was creamy, lobstery and seasoned well, so I wasn’t looking to gulp a glass of water to dilute the salt content like with typical bisques I’ve have at other fast food joints.
My husband, who hasn’t lived in MA in over 25 years, fondly remembers the unique flavor of the thick meaty burgers they make there. He had one and was not disappointed in the least after all these years.
Overall, great hangover food even when you’re not hung over. Great...
