This has to be hands down the WORST Subway experience I've had ever! And I eat a lot of subway. I arrive early to pick up my order so waiting is expected.....HOWEVER the order was to be ready at 12:55am. After I waited 15 mins for a turkey sub and a steak and cheese. These are everyday menu items ( and there is NO ONE ELSE THERE). Since no one ever came to the window after the speaker, I politely drive back to the speaker. I'm immediately greeted by the same lady. I ask "Hey is everything alright in there?" You would think I said something horrible bc the "why" i got was dry and rude and you heard every ounce of annoyance. So I quickly replied that it doesn't take 15 mins for a turkey sandwich. At this point, the lady barks at me that I didn't order a turkey sandwich. (Still just meet at the store) I tell her again I'm waiting for an order. At this point she yells at me that I haven't been waiting 15 mins and I can "leave and have someone else get the order or I can come back to the window and wait patiently ." And turned off the speaker!!! At this point it's a waste of my time and money to leave. When she finally comes to the window, she literally sticks the bag out of the window and tells me I'm not her only order and slams the window shut! No hi, no thank you. No sorry abt the wait. I'm livid now. I drive back to speaker, same lady greets me. I politely ask for the name of the manager at the store. She responds, "I am the manager!" After a few seconds I ask her if she plans on answering my question. I have repeat again can I have the managers name?. She yells at me, my name is Kerri! Best to drive away. I'm sorry but I've been eating subway for decades and I have never ever come across a more rude and clearly hating their job person than this Kerri claiming to be the manager, but with those people skills I seriously doubt anyone would put Ms Kerri in any kind of leadership role. I wouldn't and I'm a customer service and collections trainer. Kerri would not have graduated my class I know that much. Terrible terrible service and customer experience. Especially since I was never rude or raised my voice. Shame one person can ruin it for a long standing customer....at least 20-25yrs and this is the 1st time I ever experienced this. Subway needs to remove her immediately and retrain her and teach her some soft skills manager or team member she needs to be kept away from your customers before she runs off the entire city of Denton and everything around it! I can't comment on anything else bc this experience was horrific. I know if I do go back to this store, if Ms. Kerri answers the...
Read moreFirstly I went there like 3 nights ago and it was GREAT. So we decided to go again tonite which is 1.06.2021 about 7pm they were out of bread. I wanted the Italian bread with the cheese on it on 3 FL Subs and they had OLD bread. I nicely declined and they said that the crew before didn't leave them any items to work with. I actually felt sorry for the two workers they seem very nice and everything. I just wished the manager or whomever would pay attention and try to help the students have the things they need. I like this location and I will go there another day but I ended up going to another Subway on Mayhill of which had EVERYTHING and all was good. I'm not bashing the store. I'm just saying they didn't have the items. It's clean, new looking, and the staff was very nice but they complained to me that the shift before didn't stock, nor cook bread and they had nothing really to work with. But maybe there are too many subways they should focus on one or two stores and stop trying to do too much they don't have enough workers. End of story. Again all on learning curve but it was not the kids fault that were working there. One girl is in High School she said she went there after class in the afternoon to help and they were behind the whole shift. They need more staff, more products, more management. Where was the MGR??? Have the Mgr get in store and make bread and don't leave staff with nothing. They were slammed with online orders, people coming in complaining about orders, and they had in store customers. So I just left went to another. They were already stressed enough. Bless their hearts. It's a good store but they need help or they need to close down for real. I wished they had told us while we waited that they had no supplies. Plus they need a person working on ONLINE ORDERS and they need two people working on people who walk in. BAD...
Read moreOrdered pickup. 1 foot long tuna sub and 1 sweet onion chicken teriyaki signature wrap. Pickup was fine. Went back inside and asked the sandwich artist if he had put any of the sweet onion sauce on the wrap and he said no and commented he thought it odd I hadn't requested it. I asked if he would add it to the wrap and he said yes. I placed the bag with both items on counter so he could add it and went over to fill my drink cup. He then put the sauce on my tuna sub. I inquired if he had just done that and he states i handed him the tuna sub.....I said a colorful word about how my tuna sub was now ruined, and he was now offended and it was now magically my fault. Store manager reached out and apologized but has not refunded my 20% tip I paid when ordering. I did go to Subway on Mayhiill and the young lady there happily fixed the error. I did give her a generous tip. Unimpressed with both the sandwich artist and store owner/manager at East University location. Having 20+yrs as a salesmanager, I'd demote both the sandwich artist and the manager/owner. Zero customer service to correct the mistake and at least reimburse the tip paid that certainly...
