China Garden Buffet — Restaurant in Derry Township

Ive been eating in & ordering take-out from China Garden since I was 15 and that's about 21 years phew lol I personally think they have THE BEST chinese food in the area! Always good food, big portions (compared to the other places local) & even though the price has went up a good bit over the last few months it's still worth paying the few extra dollars. We always order the same food (chx & broccoli w/ xtra sauce, shrimp rolls, pork lo mein, crab rangoons, pork fried rice, chx wings & donuts w/ xtra sugar 😋) & it's always consistent taste, appearance & always still piping hot when we get home to eat! Of course we only order once in a while when we have some xtra $$ to splurge but always worth it. Our order is usually around $60-$70 with a tip. 😉 I just wish they would partner with Door Dash & provide delivery!! That would be amazing lol but I give them 4/5 stars cuz i mean 5/5 is perfection and no one is perfect lol I will say the ONLY negative I have is when you call to order they always seem to be in a rush trying to get you off the phone when you're still trying to order but honestly I feel that's just the culture, always zinging around & full of energy lol can't fault them for being who they are lol still LOVE this place, the people & the food!! I don't know what anyone else's experience has been like, but we arrived on a weekday afternoon.

It was a moderate crowd, but the service was good. Food was on point, all of it hot and fresh.

As for variety, sure, it's not as big as a mega buffet in the city, but there was certainly enough variety for my wife and I. We have been to bigger buffets that had less quality, less variety.

The wait staff, clearly family, were friendly and helpful.

And here's the kicker: That is most certainly the cheapest Chinese buffet I'd have ever had.

Again, we noted experiences at bigger places that perhaps had more variety, but certainly less quality and charged twice as much as we paid.

Sure, from the outside, this is a dated Red Barn that has been changed into a Chinese buffet, but it was warm and clean inside and an enjoyable...

Do not eat the sushi!! I’ve eaten here on Sunday and two days have gone by and my stomach is still giving me the worst pains I’ve ever gotten. I have gotten food poisoning thanks to China Garden.

If I had to guess what it was from it would be from the sushi! I only had 5 rolls and the last one especially tasted off and disgusting. The avocado was brown and just did not look appetizing. This establishment needs to make sure that their food is fresh and safe for customers to eat otherwise you will get shut down by the health department.

It’s a shame I’m giving this a 1 star because I’ve never had any issues before but since I got food poisoning from this place I have no other choice but to do exactly that. Do better...
