I don’t do reviews often but when I do, it’s because I had an exceptional or terrible experience. Based on my ratings, you can figure out which way this is going. I ordered 3 things; a pizza with pepperoni and buffalo chicken, a cheesesteak, and fries.
Pizza - The pizza came hot, right out of the oven. The crust of the pizza was slightly charred and delicious. There was not much flop and the undercarriage also had some good char. The ingredients themselves (Buffalo chicken, mozzarella, and pepperoni) were cooked to perfection and very fresh. The sauce was the perfect amount of thin and flavorful. It did not overpower any other part of the pizza. When everything was combined into a single bite, it was a true masterpiece. I was genuinely stunned in the way other pizza shops around the Hershey area could just not get it right. Here it is. This is the freshness, flavor, and crust that pizza shops try to create constantly. Pizza My Way did it just about perfectly.
Cheesesteak - The cheesesteak was well done. There was plenty of meat, and a good amount of delicious cheese on the homemade roll. The sauce, as I mentioned before, was a great compliment to the steak and cheese. They put the perfect amount on the roll to make sure it was flavorful, without making the roll soggy. The roll was a large, white roll with a great fluffy texture. All-in-all, this was a solid cheesesteak that is just better than many others in the area. I will definitely be ordering one again.
Fries - (The portion size is absolutely massive so if it’s just 2 people, I recommend getting the personal size.) The fries were delicious and hot. We got them with cajun seasoning and kept the normal parmesan cheese that comes on top. I don’t say this normally, but these fries were so flavorful that they did not need a condiment. Fries have never been something I considered ever getting at a pizza shop, but these fries are a must have for fellow spud enthusiasts.
I also had the ability to watch them make orders when they came in. Item after item I was impressed with all of the fresh ingredients I saw them use. I watched them slice up a fresh avocado for a burger, use fresh lettuce and other meats for salads, and chop up many other ingredients for dishes I did not know they had.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed as I am sure you could tell if you made it this far in the review. On our way out, the manager (I assume) asked us how our food was and I told him that it was delicious I would be back tomorrow (I will).
Thank you to him and the other staff for being so friendly and making such a delicious meal for my wife and...
Read moreReally disappointing. Its never good to feel like you've both wasted your money and were given poor customer service and so far, those are the only feelings I've taken away from this establishment. I haven't ever felt the need to review a restaurant before but my experience left me so annoyed I felt I had to. I placed an online order and arrived in the time specified on the order only to be completely ignored by the staff. There were no customers in line and 5 employees behind the counter building pizzas. I walked up to the pick up line, waited patiently and was never acknowledged. I eventually got tired of being totally ignored and got the attention of the nearest employee, asking specifically to pick up my order I could see sitting on a small rolling cart behind him. He handed it to me, laughingly apologized and I left to find what was easily the least appetizing pizza I've seen in a good long while. I ordered the Green Goblin and it was completely devoid of heat or moisture, I took a bite out of one slice and was met with cold, dry chicken coated in dried pesto atop a crust that was entirely flavorless and somehow falling apart despite it's having gone cold. Nothing about it made me want to continue eating it and I can't imagine anyone enjoying what I received.
Maybe ordering in person would have issued better results but that wasn't my experience. At the very least, do not place an online order and expect an edible product. I may try them again in person but being ignored by the staff was off putting enough that it won't be...
Read moreOrdering a Philly Cheesesteak too far away from the 215 can be dangerous but this place nailed it. I ordered with sweets & hots and it didn't disappoint. I don't think the roll was Amoroso's which was noticeable, but still a really good sandwich. Better than the sandwich were the fries! Thin cut, almost straw-like, and salted to perfection. My buddy and I saw the pile that was a side order and said we will never finish those. Not only did we finish them but I was digging out the nubs buried in ketchup as I didn't want it to end. Fountain drinks are refillable so that's a bonus when on the road. Restaurant was super clean and inviting, the motif is cool as it's fire oven pizza and there is stacked wood in the decor. Restroom was super clean as well. What really made the quick stop enjoyable were the two young ladies working behind the counter. Super friendly, talked us through the choices on the menu, made sure everything came out ok, thanked us and said good-bye upon leaving. I've been in places where kids this age are behind the counter and they act like you are bothering them as they stare at their phones. Not so here. Owner found some responsible workers and should reward them. Next concert I see at Hershey Stadium, I will definitely...
