My husband won't stop complaining about your nachos. The poor man was struggling making a decision and he chose Goodsons for his evening dinner. I went with Taste of China. He called, ordered nachos and they said 10 mins. He arrived, they didn't put the order in. So he ordered there and waited. He got his nachos, got home and was so disappointed that he had to put together the nachos. He got his ingredients and put them all on the chips but there was zero cheese to be found. So, now for about an hour all I've been hearing is "where's the cheese? That's the staple of nachos. I shouldn't have to check the bag for cheese. I gotta ask more questions next time. And I shouldn't have to put it together." I had to share my crab rangoon to mediate the situation. Now, I'm not happy. 2 stars + 2 star because we like...

The decor was fun!! Loved that they had chalkboard tables for kid's. I had "The Jersey ".... It was a little more spicy than I was expecting. Next time, horseradish...on the side. Pasta salad was good. Friend ordered the "Evil Chicken." She had found that it was indeed..spicy!! But she did like it. My friend and I have lunch almost every Saturday....Eat locally owned! Goodsons is one of my favorite bars in all of Des Moines! Not only do they serve awesome drinks at an affordable price, but their food is incredible! I absolutely love their wings that are smoked to perfection on site! (no dipping sauce needed) But my most favorite is their Mount Olympus panni sandwich! I could eat it everyday. I strongly recommend Goodsons for lunch, dinner or even just a few drinks with friends! A huge shout out to Kaci and Matt! They are awesome bartenders, comics & great advice givers!
