Patience's African Cuisine — Restaurant in Des Moines

I love this place Great Everything I spend $16+. for large portions of multiple dishes or just 16$ for the Potato Greens or Cassava Leaf! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾The plantains are delicious too. Every time I place an order I’m told my food will be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. I always give it 20 to 30 minutes before showing up because it never fails my food is never ready as advised. I also noticed that when prepping or banging the food they never have gloves on. They’ll go from sitting around being on there phones, checking people out to heading directly into the kitchen. This last time I seen pots and bowls on the ground with food in them. Not sure if it was scraps or what but why not place the dishes on the counter top or table? Why not dispose of old food into a trash can or waste? As fare as how the food taste. It’s pretty good but I have my concerns from what I’ve witness and if I’ll ever get terrible sick one day. even after our misunderstanding after receiving the wrong item she replaced it, but the meat in the soup did not seem to be cooked thoroughly, and I found 2 big pieces of what looks like pure bone/fat which had no meat attached so I was skimped and paid $30 for my meal just to be given bones in places meat should have been. The soup was not very tasty it did not taste like Palavo sauce, it was slimy and way too spicy and had no flavor, idk if the spice just overpowered the flavor but it was not good overall.
