Love this café. Love the design. They display local airwork on the white walls and there is a small art gallery next door. Good coffee, and the barista is nice, honestly I can't taste the differences between all the local café. Their croissant really stands out and makes a big difference compared to the others. They got them from Madeleines Patisserie, pretty popular patisserie that serve nationwide. It is flaky, not too buttery, texture is well done. The outdoor sitting behind the café is very creative. Looks like they are made from old water main pipe. Take a look at the pictures. Parking is on the street. There is no parking lot. And they are adjacent to some trash houses, an interesting contrast with the vibe of the café. Service can be a little slow sometimes, depends on who is working. There is 3% surcharge and 1.5%credit...

I was excited to stop at this business after hearing raving reviews from my friends at The mushroom hub; I’m not sure where the disconnect happened however I did not feel kindness and hospitality from the woman servicing behind the counter; I observed there only seemed to be one employee so maybe understaffed?

To add insult to injury, cause I get it people have bad days, when our food was ready the woman THREW the item onto the counter and it almost slid off; thankfully I’m a mama with quick reflexes.

It’s difficult as a mama to get out and find environments where I feel mine or my kiddos energy aren’t burdensome and was really hoping to feel an inviting atmosphere and instead was met with hostility; we will not be coming back 😞

Plz treat your employees better so they...

My kids and I were captivated by the ambiance at Cafe Noir—the cozy atmosphere, delightful music, indoor/outdoor easy seating and the delicious flavors of our vegan Mocha, Latte, and Hot Chocolate. On a scorching 100F day, the kind barista thoughtfully turned the hot chocolate into a refreshing chocolate milk for my youngest son. The art display elevates Cafe Noir to an elite coffee shop status, and the diverse crowd adds to its classy vibe right in the heart of downtown Detroit. Next time you’re looking to unwind with great music, a tasty drink, and support local art, consider Cafe Noir! I support any endeavor that brings everyone together 💗 and I could see the higher purpose of Cafe Noir to be just that🤗 while tasting a good cup of coffee ☕️! (And...
