Visited Detroit from Toronto and took a walking tour of downtown Detroit on July 1st. It was a great experience! Every part of the tour, from the organization, explanation, pace, ground covered, and combination of interior/exterior stops were excellent, and all for a very reasonable price. I liked how we had "shepards" in addition to the tour guide, who made sure that no one got lost and could answer additional questions. A fantastic orientation to downtown Detroit and perfect first stop in the city!

The Saturday Downtown Tour was terrific. A chance to see and explore and learn about Detroit architecture from people who know their stuff. The guide was personable, engaging and welcomed questions. She took us to some places were never would have found on our own. Also enjoyed meeting some of the other people on the tour. Great value for the money, too, compared to what some of the for-profit tour operators are charging. We were happy to support a nonprofit doing great work in Detroit.

We brought some friends into town and wanted them get a bit of Detroit history. Signed up for a private walking tour with Ken and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We learned so much about the city, its architecture, and its roots. Ken was an extremely knowledgeable guide and his passion and wit made it all the more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this 2.5 hour walk to newcomers and Detroit natives alike.

100 thumbs up! What a cool tour of the Detroit theaters with Ken, our guide. We met in front of the the Detroit Music Hall Center and started our journey to see the magnificent theaters of Detroit. We toured the Fox, the Detroit Opera, the Fillmore and ended back at the Music Hall. Each theater was unique and beautiful and Ken was very knowledgeable and open to all questions. He really knew his stuff. Paid parking was located very near where the tour started and all the theaters were located in close proximity and that made for a very nice walking tour. We got to see parts of the theaters that you could only see if you worked there or were a star in one of their productions. This tour is only offered one day a year so sign up asap and be ready for a wonderful walking...

I've lived in Michigan for over 20 years and found the tour informative and interesting. I went on the tour with my daughter, and it was her suggestion to go. I thought I knew most of Detroit history, but I learned more than a few things on the Downtown Tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and clearly loves the city. The range of architecture seen on the tour is wonderful. I would think that a visitor to the city couldn't have a better introduction, and longtime Michigan residents will surely find that they learn something as well. The over two hour tour goes by...

I had a wonderful architectural tour today (a Wednesday) with guide Rick. Not only is Rick extremely knowledgeable about Detroit but has lived here his whole life and seems to really enjoy sharing his own experiences. I believe he is truly passionate about his home city’s architecture. The almost 2 hour tour went by so quickly and I learned so much. Rick offered many suggestions for restaurants, bars, and other places to visit. He also advised me on travel routes and public transport. Thanks Rick for the best introduction...
