Jamaica Mi Hungry 313 — Restaurant in Detroit

The Food here taste AMAZING! We tried couple of other Jamaican spots before, but their food tasted too salty for me . This place uses just the right amount of salt in their food. When you put too much salt or too less salt, it alters the taste of the food. but this place uses the " right"amount. My husband is a regular there. Yesterday I went with him, and we ordered $100 worth of food. We got 2 jerk chicken dinners, 1 goat curry dinner, 1 chicken curry dinner, 2 beef patties, 2 pineapple guava fresh juices, and 1 chicken soup. They had given me a sample of chicken soup , and I had to purchase a bowl of chicken soup after that, because it tasted darn good. One of the best chicken soups I've ever had. It's not your typical chicken soup. This is a unique tasting , healthy, freshly made soup. Taste was out of this world. A bit pricey, but worth it. Overall, this place earned my 5 stars. Usually I don't easily give out 5 stars. I am a harsh critic when giving reviews on foods. But this place earned It. Me and my husband will remain a lifetime customer of this gem...

When I came to this place I had anticipated trying the food because I had passed by it (being closed) in times past. Today.. it was OPEN!!! The food was very fresh and tasty… But THIS review to to Give a Very High SHOUT OUT TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had an overwhelming taste for Jamaican food over the weekend so I looked some up. This restaurant (truck) came up but it said it was closed. Something in my spirit told me to call and guess what??? They were open. He took my order over the phone and I was there in about 30 minutes. The owner, I believe his name is Richard, was so welcoming and full of great conversation. He told me to make sure I come back and try his special Mac n cheese recipe and I definitely plan on it. I got the Ox tails and the Turkey tails. Now I looove me some some smoked turkey tails in my greens and beans but these turkey tails were on a whole other level! I’ll definitely be back for them and the beef patties.
