They have serve the best kool-Aid in Detroit! I don’t even want to start ranting about their food because once I start talking about it my mouth will start watering and I’d want some right now! But I’d tell you guys this. I don’t really eat fried food much, but one day a couple of my friends and family told me to try their food and ever since then I started making it one of my daily goals to eat there at least 3 times a weak! They have the best fried shrimp I’ve ever tasted! And their Spicy wing dings are to die for! I dont know what they mix with their flour or what type of flour they use to make them, but OMG it’s so freaking good. The also add the magic touch of the lemon pepper of their food and it just makes your mouth go crazy! It feels like a firework just blew up in your mouth and just makes you want more! I can’t even control my mouth right now! Because the drools are going out of hand! I told you guys I wouldn’t stop rambling about how good their food is if I started talking about it. The only way to feel the fireworks in your mouth is by going there and trying...
Read moreI ordered chicken gizzards, red beans & rice, collard greens and hush puppies. Luckily...I ordered small portions, of the most horrible food I've ever ordered. The gizzards were tough as a leathery belt. Red beans & rice had a funky taste to them with a lot of red tomatoes or something resembling it, and it was mostly soup like you get from a can. The greens weren't there at all, it was mostly soup the little bits of greens floating in the juice weren't tasty at all. And on top of all that the sides were pulled out of a refrigerator cooler and they had the nerve to serve it to the customers ice cold. Them hush puppies tasted as though they came out of a bag. My advise to anyone who goes there to do not order any suppose sides if they pull it out of the cooler this place ain't worth your...
Read moreI order some fried jumbo shrimp on doordash...3/4's of a pound...delivery was kinda slow so the shrimp weren't hot and had started to get soggy(not the fault of the restaurant tho)... the order had about 15 BIG shrimp...too much batter in my opinion... but thats a personal preference...however it didn't seem like fresh jumbo shimp, battered and then deep fried like you would expect from this type of place... these were more like the battered shrimp you would by from a super/meat market and drop in your deep fryer at home when you being too lazy to hook em up from scratch...lol...all in all they were edible... not great but not garbage either...if you're looking for really good fried shrimp you can maybe look elsewhere... but if it's late or your desparate these will do...
