Manhattan Fish — Restaurant in Detroit

I’ve eaten here several times with out disappointment. Chicken is always on point. My recent visit wasn’t so top tier. I ordered chicken livers that were so salty I’m not sure if it was the batter over seasoned or the liver it self. I ordered a small friend green tomatoes because I had order previously and actually pretty good but this time they over battered and looked like thick cookies. The presentation was even horrible all mashed up. I also order the two piece cat fish that was really one piece of fish cut in half to be made into pieces so that was a rip of but it did taste really good. I also order a 20 piece wing dings half honey garlic dipped. Now the chicken was really good as always but my issue was I’m a big all flats kinda girl but decided not to pay the extra fee for all flats because last time I paid for all flats I got home and it was the complete opposite and I was pissed. So this time I said I’ll take what I get instead. I open the container expecting to have close to an even number of flats and drums but there it was like 3flats and 17drums!!!! That kinda pissed me off because I have to pay for all flats but can get all these drums at no charge?!!! Order flats and still get drums? This location needs to do better cause all this pissed me off and I won’t be...

I ordered a 10 piece whole wing combo, which came with fries and a drink..when he opened up the container asked for lemon pepper I noticed that it didn’t look like ten WHOLE wings. I didn’t say anything went home around the corner, opened it up and behold there were like three baby wings in there, and they only put nine wings in total, I called back complained about it. The manager said he can’t do anything because this is what they sent them from their source or for where they get the chicken. I took the food back to Manhattan and requested a refund. They told me they don’t do refunds and they can cook me two more chicken wings. I told him I don’t want two more chicken wings. I want my money back , if not call the police… with a lot of arguing back-and-forth he gave me my money back and before he did that he had The audacity to say that I ate one of the wings haha… I almost lost my mind and to keep me from catching a case, I left in a dignified manner. Needless to say, I would not be supporting this establishment anymore..THEM people think that we colored people are stupid I want to play us like we don’t have common sense and Feed us whatever they want to give us while they’re in our neighborhoods Making thousands of dollars off of us.. but I would not go back...

I ordered chicken wings and fries from here. While the fries were good, the chicken was not crispy at all. They do have a lot of different choices of food so hopefully the next time I buy from here it's better. Also, almost everything is pretty pricy here.

Update: I think it's very unprofessional as a owner that clearly can't spell "crispy" to come under my review and check me about my order when CLEARLY if anything is FRIED it should automatically be CRISPY. I ordered FRIED chicken. It's common sense that it is suppose to be crispy if its going in oil. When do people ever order fried chicken and say they want it soggy?
