HAS TO BE IN THE TOP 3 WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE!!!
We went here to celebrate a special birthday party.
Booked the reservation in advance... Had about 30 guests...
Our host kept having to get up and apologize to all of their guests because of the terrible service.
The rude sever/bartender/manager (or whatever position she has there) let us know their staff shows up when they want to show up and with us being there at 1 pm.... They didn't have enough servers or a bartenders to accommodate our needs.... We waited 45 minutes for our cocktails after having to go up to the bar several times. She said we'd be better off ordering a beer!!! Um... Not what we wanted...
They were out of gumbo.. out of ribeye.... Only 1 filet!!!
Ordered their 2 pound of shrimp and it tasted like they had rolled it on the beach!!! Disgusting and sandy...
I went there hungry and happy.... I left feeling sick and still have a bad taste in my mouth!!!
The server that was the bartender and the manager on duty was argumentative and unprofessional...
She gave me such a terrible attitude and I definitely did not feel welcome...
Looked like she was going to tailgate at a college game day at home....
Never came back to check on us... When I let her know how disappointed we were... Her attitude got worse and she was even more terrible...
Even the OWNER didn't seem to care about our party and didn't show up until we were finished with our meal (if that's what they want to call it)
He was just as rude as she was!!!
If I knew my restaurant had a large party and a short staff... I definitely would have been there!!!
On top of that they charged us a 22% service charge!!!
What an insult for such a terrible experience... Food and drinks took over two hours to get to the table...
Yikes...
We will...
Read moreI have waited tables, I have been short staffed but never in my life does this make sense. Enjoy my rant, sincerely a 5 month pregnant women with her 5 year old son who just wanted shrimp and fries.
Came to The Camphouse - Diamondhead, MS to listen to the band Terrapins and have dinner. The bartender said we would have to go upstairs to order. Trey went upstairs to order our food and bring it back down to listen to the band. They told Trey they are not accepting Togo orders and we would have to sit inside. He comes down to tell me but I am confused because what sense does that make? I’m not holding up a table upstairs, you are able to make more money on food and a tip. So I go upstairs to ask what the difference is because I am very confused.
I ask for the manager because the poor little host couldn’t give me an answer. The manager comes over and told me they are not taking any Togo orders because they are short staffed. The wait would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. They had maybe 10 tables with people and 3/4 waitress running around. I said ok well I’m trying to order food and take it back downstairs where you have a band playing to eat. She tells me they are saving their food for people who want to experience the dine in service. They do not want to put Togo orders in front of people who want to get the full dine experience. So then me being me said well can I get a table and order and come back in a hour when my food would be ready and she said no. Then I ask if I can sit down, order, and immediately get it in a Togo box and she said yeah. PLEASE MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE.
Like I said, I have worked in the restaurant industry and I understand when you are short staff it makes it hard. I was willing to wait your 45mins to1 hour downstairs waiting for the food and...
Read moreWe had high hopes for this based on previous reviews and were let down. The building is beautiful but that's about the extent. We ordered the spinach dip for appetizer. For the price it's extremely small and seemed gritty. We shared an order of the coconut shrimp dinner and a beef and reef dinner. The only thing that was warm was the coconut shrimp which you could tell were from a bag and just dropped in the fryer. The Caribbean rice with it was way too wet. The beef and tuna were cold and not properly cooked. The crab cake was the smallest I ever saw. For the prove, definitely not worth it. Shoot across i10 to the Red Zone for a great meal for half the price.
In response, I am fully aware that tuna is supposed to have a cool red center, as we eat it often. Your tuna was COLD all the way through, and the crust appeared to have not been seared AT ALL, as there was not one grill mark on the sesame coating. From experience, a sear will show on the outside of a tuna. I also know what a good crab cake tastes like and the one we had was more filler than crab meat. Also, it was not seared at all. The steak barely had sear marks yet is was just as cold as the tuna. I stand behind my review and to attempt to tell me I'm wrong only assures that there will be no second...
